Sometimes people use a bit of hyperbole to emphasize the point they are trying to make, with varying levels of success. In the matter at hand, m4ini is responding to the ham fisted attempt to depict the UK as this authoritarian state of repressed speech from earlier today; in which the poster lacked basic knowledge about the UK and what makes up an authoritarian state.

There are new allegations today that are far more serious, were signed under oath and were made by an federal attorney. I doubt they are going to charge forward even if Ford does not appear.

Apparently Kavanaugh denied Swetnicks accusations under oath himself. So now we have 2 employees of the federal government accusing each other of crimes (one for sexual misconduct and the other for lying under oath) under threat of perjury. Sounds to me like good cause to slow things down.
