I've found Jimmy comments are a lot better to read if you imagine them as being written on the walls of an asylum using mashed potato.

They are not honest with the United States. They've been ripping us off for years." Canadian diplomat Ken Taylor committed major citizenship documents fraud in 1979 and 1980... that evil lying scum! ! ! In fairness to Trump, Justin Trudeau prolly bullshitted him quite a bit. Other than that, Canadian politicians are pretty honest with the USA. I think Trump is traumatized by getting played by Junior Trudeau. BTW, during Carter's Crisis of Confidence Speech he was distraught how Americans believed the next 5 years worse than the previous 5 years. He average American was not far off ... July 1979 to December 1982 was very bad and undoubtedly worse than 1974 to 1978. is this what 1979 was really like? or was it more like the Brady Bunch? the 1980 US Presidential Election Campaign is probably my favourite election campaign of all time.
To Trump, "being honest" means "say what i want you to say, bend the knee, and kiss my ass". He wants Canadians to say how much Canada has ripped off the US. They are not saying that, so to Trump, they are "dishonest".
It is important to realize that those people don't use words with the same meanings as normal people.

Given that these governors are primarily there to serve the people of their state, I can understand why they aren't trying to push back too hard, at least not until the midterms, we'll see if Senate and Congress flip if they'll suddenly grow some spinal tissue. What I don't understand is how you aren't interested in ranking US presidents, I mean, it's fun, interesting, reveals how people feel / think. + Show Spoiler + So I'll try mine:
(1) Carter 1 (2) Obama 1 (3) Obama 2 (4) Biden 1 (5) Clinton 1 (6) Sr. Bush 1 (7) Clinton 2 (8) W Bush 1 (9) Reagan 2 (10) Reagan 1 (11) W Bush 2 (12) Trump 1
I'm a little wobbly on having SR Bush in front of Clinton 2, but Clinton 2 did a lot of damage to progressive politics and at least Bush SR stopped the Gulf War in time when he didn't have to and actually sought international approval for it
. Spoiler, they aren't going to grow spines because their supporters literally don't even know how to apply even a modicum of pressure on them to do so. It would therefore be irrational for them to grow a spine and act in their constituents best interests. As for ranking presidents, I believe they all belong/ed in the Hague, so it doesn't really interest/amuse me. Why does Carter belong in the Hague? The most straightforward reason would probably be knowingly supplying weapons/diplomatic backing to Indonesia to slaughter civilians in East Timor. Knowingly supplying weapons to X for Y atrocity covers pretty much all of them. I take it that was your point, but that's a fairly narrow view. Meaning what?
Aiding and abetting the mass slaughter of civilians shouldn't be a crime against humanity that the ostensible "leader of the free world" should be held accountable for?

Should all the people who supply weapons to people who kill be held accountable or just Americans?

I know that GH can be exhausting, but generally speaking i don't think it would be such a bad idea to hold manufacturers and sellers somewhat responsible for what people do with the weapons they sell to them.

I guess another way to not go insane reading Jimmy's posts is when you understand that to him politics is just WWE, so because Regan "destroyed" Carter he's obviously a better president.
That very neatly explains the last post, basically Carter was elected into a horrible economy that he didn't manage to magically fix during one term, then a sleek actor with a lot of charisma came in and promised all kinds of bullshit that he also failed to deliver later, but he said it confidently and he had the big advantage of going against someone an order of magnitude more honest then him, of course Americans ate it up.
