Well, their stock price has taken quite a beating FWIW (also RIP to my holdings, lol). I'd expect the big institutional shareholders to let Zuck know that they are displeased, and he should consider his job less secure than it was a month ago.
Anyways, maybe after midterms we pass some serious updates to FCRA and related rules.

The ousted VA secretary has an opinion peice in the times worth reading. I believe this link let’s you past the pay wall. As a lot of people feared, there is a push to privatize the VA. But more troubling is there is VA secretary welcomed the public debate, but the administration didn’t want it. They just want to privatize and pick some company to make money off of veterans health care.

Welcome to America, home of the rich getting richer at the expense of the unfortunate poor. The statue of liberty has become a poor representation of this country.

the thing that's news to me about this current presidential office is that I have NEVER seen an office that hires & fires so many people so often. Working at a factory there is some turn over but it is a performance measured system where each person has a weekly standard that they need to match, so the way that all of that is handled is clear & makes sense. The unions make sure of that. Meanwhile, in the Oval Office, there's a new guy every week & a person who is canned every other week. I don't know what to think about that!

Which was not a huge departure from how he ran all his business, many of which failed. None of this is shocking. This is exactly what his critics said would happen.

Heck their words don't even add up considering Trump has attacked veterans, PoW's and gold star families.

I mean, the country was founded on slavery. This is pretty much the human story in general.

The praise is a mix of virtue signaling and a passive aggressive attack against those who question authority figures (liberals). Only delusional centrists still think the praise is real. Liberals know to look at the dollars and cents spent on veterans. Conservatives know the praise is about signaling and cheer for it as is.

That's a great question. I wasn't around back then so I wouldn't know. Cynically I'd assume it was never truly different, but it sucks that I can't afford a passport / lessons in another language to get out of this black hole of corrupt capitalism.

In the immortal Hilary Clinton investigation, Sessions has appointed a US attorney John W. Huber to look into the GOP's claims about the FBI. There is a healthy dose of cynicism out there because Huber is an Obama appointee and that will be blamed when Huber finds nothing.
To be honest, I am not entirely sure what they are looking for at this point.

(1) Hillary's secret deal with Manafort to collude with the Russians and the Deep State to bring down Trump (2) Hillary's contract on Seth Rich's life to protect her GRU/FSB allies (3) Hillary using soviet-era nerve agents to cause mass amnesia in the white house every time the word 'Russia' is said

He will also be looking into Hillary and the Uranium One "scandal".

During FDR. One can only imagine had he not died in 45 but lived for several more years.

That or backed Henry Wallace as his VP for his last election.
