Kinda wish they reused the good games. Wouldn't mind seeing a Mario 64 race, a 70 star run and a 120 star run. Split them onto different days and we're set.

Well exposing people to more games is always a good thing, since there are newcomers always coming and going, so variety never hurts

Wasn't meant for Metroid, just in general.

There are quite a lot uninteresting games for speedrunning in this event. Super Mario 64 is one of those games where speedrunning really shines so would prefer more than just 1 run of it. Also more people have played Mario 64 so if I were to show this event to friends it's better when they know the game and can appreciate the skill the players have.

Eh I don't know if I agree. SM64/Zelda gets representation of every GDQ. If you ran multiple categories within a single GDQ then it would quickly stale. The game selection thus far hasn't been great, I'll give you that, but it's not a reason to put in different categories of popular speedgames.

Idk, 3 runs in one week is not that much. And people don't watch 24/7 so don't think they would end up watching all 3 runs.

Plus as we are people from all over the world watching this, you could also have them at different timezones too, which would also decrease the chance of people seeing the same game twice. But rather another Mario 64 run than 90% of the games this event.

Or just bad jokes? Watch "Transformers: Devastation"

Because I don't like 3D-Samus I watched Hotline Miami and LVL1 Sephiroth. Just great!

Prefer to see Skill.

Sorry but running through L4D2 as 4player on easy is not really that difficult to do. Barely any optimization was done in that run as well..

Then it always helps if the streamer is funny as well, like TheMexicanRunner who ran Lion King yesterday

It was a pretty good run! I made sure to include the Reddit link to all VODs in the OP, so I recommend watching it (and the funny multiplayer mod) once you have a free 2 hours

You also have to keep in mind that almost everyone in speedrunning wants to get to a GDQ to showcase their game. When you give extra timeslots to popular games then it's at the expense of fringe games. Some of those fringe games have been amazing like Metal Wolf Chaos at SGDQ last year and Transformers this year (and others haven't). It's part of the charm of the GDQs.
