it's not because we don't want to share it, it's just that it never crossed our minds and we're so used to our own style that it would be weird to share a cone (that seriously made me go wtf when i first heard it)

Here's a short list:

• We don't have names for weed. There are no brands. It's just referred to like so: "dude dealer A's shit is so much better than dealer B's weed"

• When we smoke through a bong, we go cone by cone. We don't share a cone with other people. As for size, generally 1g will give me around 10 or so cones

• We call tobacco "spin" when we mix it with our weed, which we usually do. Actually, within my closer circle of friends, we've stopped doing this, and we refer to the unspun cones as "green cones"

I don't account for all the Aussies but this is what it's like in my area though

I would say that most people I know don't use homemade bongs anymore (but this was standard when I was 15/16), small glass bongs are cheap and easy to purchase in my area along with pipes. I agree that it's also very rare to see someone with a vape and I think this is because you pretty much can't find a store selling vaporizers, at least in my area. I have a vape that I bought online and I don't know anyone else who has one.

I really feel like people in Australia don't appreciate weed fully and certainly don't appreciate the culture that comes with it. There is no appreciation for well-made glass pieces. A lot of people mix tobacco with their weed (i don't) and I'm under the impression this is very abnormal in the US? Most people have no clue what a vaporizer is or where to get one. I think most importantly, people around here don't understand how cannabis works, how it's grown, what makes it more effective, sativa/indica, etc. Sometimes it really bums me out yo.

youngminjj, I highly suggest you google some brownie/cookie/firecracker recipes man. Edibles are awesome and I'm sure you will really enjoy them.

You're partly right about the naming here in Canada McDylan. I asked my grower (I buy straight from him) what strand he had. "Dunno" is the response I got, so even the growers don't always know (mind you, he's not big time or anything...) On the topic of Canadian trends though, I think it varies region to region. In Ottawa, we use filter in our joints. My buddies from further south (Windsor area) don't... they find it weird. I think it's American influence affecting them from Detroit.

Also, I've gotta ask while I'm here: what's the deal with Americans cutting open cigars/cigarellos, emptying them, and then rolling a blunt with it? Do you not have blunt wraps or zigzags down there? Maybe they're harder to find, since it's way more illegal down there, but I never understood why you'd destroy a perfectly good cigar to smoke weed...
