When you roll a joint with tobacco in it, you call it a 'spliff' in the US and normally joints refer to purely weed.
not sure about the taste though, because cigarettes smoke tastes so much worse wtf?

paycheck turned out to be $1254ish, but after taxes and everything only pocketed ~1k 
I'm a laser profile sensor technician(was supposed to be hired as a network administrator, but meh). I build and repair these sensors that use lasers to scan and measure pieces of wood to be cut in sawmills.. I get paid bi-weekly btw, so I don't make THAT much haha.
Also, am I just not understanding you, or did you make a typo frag? spliff = join rolled with weed, but joint is already just pure weed?

damn, I was stoned on TL yesterday. I was watching hashe's stream thinking that he had really good micro and control + he has good macro. Made him look like a fucking beast, I got a new bubbler, so It was more of a chillout get super stoned and sink into bed with laptop on chest kind of high, while watching hashe ofc.

I think it tastes like shit personally lol, but all my cigarette-smoking friends don't like to roll joints without tobacco. I've heard some people call them spliffs, but most people I know just call them joints. I just thought it was common everywhere, since most people around here who smoke weed also smoke cigs.

joint = pure weed
spliff = weed/tobacco mix
cig = pure tobacco
I'm not a fan of tobacco though, but the few spliffs I've tried I've enjoyed quite a bit. Certainly adds a distinct flavor, (though that may be simply because I don't ever really smoke tobacco, so it's all alien and new)

At both WCG's Ive gone too the international (non USA) peeps preferred to use Tobacco they said its just the way the do it in their country's and also conserved weed(expensive specially while traveling)/ mellowed out the super dank (got too high) Seattle was a blast and I had a certain German broodwar man smoking me out all through LA <3 <3

It's common practice indeed. I don't smoke ciggs but always put a bit of tobacco in my joints because it helps the burning process if you mixed it up nicely and you waste less weed at the tip/roach.
I think it also difference in quality of weed and the availability for us that results in less reasons to smoke one pure.
Consider myself a pretty avid smoker and to be honest only smoke pure when it's a bong/pipe or nobody has any ciggs. Tho I only add like 1/3th of a cigg.

I usually put half a tabacco in my joints, but it hugely depends on how much weed there is.. Usually like 30% tabacco and 70% weed.
Of course with blunt wrap there is no need for tabacco :D

The only people that i know that roll tobacco into their joints are already cig smokers. They say it's less harsh/tastes better/burns better, but whenever i take a hit of one i cough and hack and gag ten times worse than i normally do and it burns the shit out of my throat and lungs because damn, tobacco is harsh and nasty. I don't understand how cig smokers think it's more mellow than weed.
I've also had tobacco in bongrips mixed with weed (70/30ish weed/tobacco) in Vancouver. The guys i was smoking with said that it helps the rip to cherry better and burn faster (so you can clear it all with your extra breath) and that it makes the clear a little less harsh. It might have been burning faster than normal pure weed, but that could have just been my imagination.

I've been a pretty avid smoker for about 9 years now, I don't drink or do any other drugs.
I never ever ever roll my weed with tobacco, and I'm from Canada, none of my friends do either, however it's pretty much common practice over in Euroland from what I've experienced, When i went to Amsterdam, i got glared at from rolling up a joint with pure pot. "What a waste" i was told.
I always pay a little extra if it's good quality, I also used to spend obscene amounts of money ordering extremely high quality organics through the mail, strains you'd see featured in high times, grown by growers you'd see featured at Cannabis Cups.
Why?
I smoke for the taste. Nothing ruins a high quality organic strain with great taste in smell more than throwing tobacco in with the joint. I could get the most powerful strain in the world, and If it doesnt taste the way i like it, i would get something else. At one point i would have considered myself a connoisseur..
Would a wine connoisseur throw grape juice in his wine to extend the alcoholic properties of the wine? No... then why the FUCK would i ruin a great strain by tossing in some tobacco?

Uh if you want your weed to burn you dont add tobacco. Its called using a grinder. If anyone has problems burning weed then stop buying it from whoever kuz that shit isnt flushed and is full of garbage. I hope thats not common in Vancouver? Thought that was mostly an Ontario thing.
Proud to say in MB no one ruins their good smoke with tobacco.
EDit: Enraged there knows what real pot is. Cant believe they told you "what a waste". Its a damn waste of good smoke to use tobacco!!

Had a nice DXM trip last night. It's been a little while and I havn't used anything but alcohol occasionally since getting back from vacation in NY. Kind of sucked because my girlfriend now has a medication conflict so I was doing it solo and she was drinking, but still very good night :D
I kept closing my eyes and walking through my house in my head and it felt like I had the CoD HUD in my vision all the time. I went up a big step to go from my room to the hallway and I saw the little "press a to jump" and hopped over it, then opened my eyes and realized I didn't move.

Wow I didn´t know it was so frowned upon.
But the thing is, not everyone is fixed on the taste. I can smoke a pure joint but it hardly makes me more stoned than if I add some tabacco. This way I can smoke more joints and get as stoned.
I agree with the "What a waste" if it isn't some top notch weed, you won't get that more slammed but you did waste the extra money.
