You realize they could have killed the hostages during it if they wanted to? Im happy its all over, but this was very lucky.

Really no choice but to kill them i'm sure they were thinking that allah would shield them from the bullets i'm sure they knew exactly that they would die.

3? wounded overall. 1 GIGN at the factory and 2 more police at the market.
Could have gone A LOT worse. Really good results, really good. The real downside for me is that BOTH sides are happy. For us all, the threat has been eliminated. For the extremists, their brothers died as martyrs. Capturing would have been 100x better but they didn't have a choice. Need non-lethal tech to advance a wee bit more it seems. they wanted to die, they would have killed themselves

I'm sure that it's what they WANTED. Which is really worse.

jjust their way of suicide. they exactly knew what would happen and wanted to die.
suicide is not really an option and apprently they indeed werent after plain increasing bodycount with the hostages.
so they took their only option of martyrdom

either they didnt want to die at first but it was the only option once they got trapped there or they wanted to drag this out as long as possible but i doubt that tbh.
but be sure that the last thing they wanted is just getting caught for all the reasons we all wouldve prefered it if they took them alive.

Although I'd rather have them arrested, them getting killed to assure hostages' safety is an acceptable outcome for me. I'm glad it's over, at least the hectic part that is.

They wanted to do more. When they realized they couldn't, b/c French forces were a lot better than they expected coupled with their huge blunder to leave their ID card in the getaway car, they decided to go out in the way any extremists would want to.

He wasn't part of this at all. He got released during the first night etc.
