Although this thread does not function under the same strict guidelines as the USPMT, it is still a general practice on TL to provide a source with an explanation on why it is relevant and what purpose it adds to the discussion. Failure to do so will result in a mod action.

For the first time I can recall, four Bundespolizisten came into the train today and wanted to see our IDs because a couple of Bahn staff were attacked and molested.

My friend, who volunteers for the THW in an emergency vehicle says they now had to hire a security company because they can't go into certain areas without protection. If they go into migrant territory to treat an emergency, the migrants attack them or try to steal equipment.

Even hospitals aren't safe anymore, Muslims frequently come in and attack doctors and nurses if they don't give preferential treatment to Muslim women. There's recently been a case in NRW where an emergency nurse (male) got beaten to a pulp because he removed a hijab to treat a woman... He was kneeling down, took her pulse and got kicked in the head. When he was on the ground, some more migrants kicked the shit out of him.

Not a day goes by without some violent crime making it into national news, 60% of people report feeling less safe in Germany, Antisemitism is on the rise again...

It all just feels like a giant net-loss to our society.

Is this breitbart-news or sth.? Like their headline that some refugees burnt down a church (which was also a complete fake, btw.)?

Stop calling them refugees, they're welfare migrants. Most of them aren't even Syrians or Afghans, and literally all of them stopped being refugees seven or eight borders ago. There's a directcorrelation (and causality) between how much welfare a member state pays and how many migrants go there.

Also, 'a complete fake' is bullshit, and you know it. They did burn down a church, it just wasn't the oldest church in Dortmund as Breitbart reported.

But it's okay, keep lying about that shit, rather get 'culturally enriched' than be thought of as a Nazi.

Reminds me of that wonderful young doctor or engineer who came to Sweden, was welcome into a home by a good hearted Swedish woman, repaid her by raping her ten-year old daughter and wasn't sentenced because he 'self identified' as a minor, despite being 19:

Its funny when a German looks down on Breitbart news when both your government and main news outlets have been caught covering up crimes committed by the migrants.

Sweden is even worse. I wonder how many news outlets reported about the teenage girl that was abducted and chained up in a basement of a shisha restaurant and made into a sex slave?
These sites might be of more use than a StarCraft site, where the majority of posters look on WCIII as the dense misformed fetus produced during Blizzards latest miscarrige.

Top 5 countries of origin of asylum seekers (fist time applicants) in the EU 28 for 2015. 2016 numbers are scheduled for June.
Feel free to do the math.

I can't even take you serious if you hand pick incidents of a single person doing horrid things and generalize a whole demography. This is exactly what you said you had never encountered yet a couple of posts earlier. My hand picked example of someone else who is the impersonification of integration should, by your logic, be worth as much as your example and thus directly counteract it. But jeez, I don't wanna argue on that level.

And please do your research. I suppose you don't speak German, otherwise every credible source would have told you that firework was shot into the scaffolding where a banner of some sorts was ignited and shortly afterwards extinguished. No church burned down. Is that how you should behave? Most certainly not but the difference to anyone else's behaviour on new years eve is strikingly negligible (imo)

What you're doing here is spout hate and resentment.
Pathetic.

I wonder: if you come from some random country, throw out your passport, then lie and say you're Syrian, will these statistics say that you're Syrian?

Of course that's how it works. That's why the numbers above are such bullshit.

If you add them up you will find that far more Syrians arrived in the EU than fled from Syria. But pointing that out is obviously racism.

Looking into it, the data comes from Eurostat, and all they say is that they "evaluate" if the citizenship is as they say it is. The fuck does that mean?

Ask them. If they say they're Syrian, they're Syrian. If they say they're twelve, they're twelve.

There aren't enough resources to prove any of those claims, and how would you even do it?

Yes, I would say that evaluating by accent sounds like something that there is no way there are enough resources to do. And by European sensibilities, wouldn't it be racist as fuck to generalize that way?

You are hate mongering about a country you don't even reside in, briet-racist-whatever-paper has been asked to retract that article as it was proven false.. I'm going to Ireland for a job interview next week in hopes of working in Dublin; this better not be the fucking general attitude.

So this isnt really about You point but more on data You present, sry if this is offtopic.

I am not discussing Your orginal point, but You always need to be very carefull with statistical data, read exactly what it represents. This isnt whole picture. For example the data on Poland is very strange, i dont know why Ukrainians would seek asylum in Poland. They dont need to. They can apply for work visa and they do. I have lot of Ukrainian colegues at work. One of them had to flee from Crimae, but he isnt asylum seeker. He has working Visa. There are almost 1mln work Visas issues by Poland for Ukrainians in 2015 alone, see here: (polish source sry): http://www.polityka.pl/tygodnikpolityka/spoleczenstwo/1664626,1,milion-ukraincow-w-polsce-kim-sa-gdzie-pracuja.read

So, again i dont want to argue against Your point, i just to want to warn You to be carefull wih such data. Regaredless of where You wanna go with it. There a lot of people moving in recent migration waves, and not all of them are asylum seekers for various of reasons.
Pathetic Greta hater.

I don't wanna sound rude, enlighten me on data that is better than that? Where would you find it but from the states?

Data are provided to Eurostat with a monthly frequency (for asylum application statistics), quarterly frequency (for first instance decisions) or annual frequency (for final decisions based on appeal or review, resettlement and unaccompanied minors). The statistics are based on administrative sources and are supplied to Eurostat by statistical authorities, home office ministries/ministries of the interior or related immigration agencies in the EU Member States.

It's polish data.

I have no problem to differentiate, but whatever you speak of doesn´t make the nonsense of your former post any more real.
There was no islamic mob that burnt down a church. Yes, yome pyrotchnics caused a small fire, that was quenched quite fast. Tough shit, stuff like that happened. Even if you´re not a muslim, Germans accidently do stupid stuff like that, too.

If you wanna fall for the "news" breitbart publishes, go for it. It is kinda sad, but hey, who needs facts anyway.

I'm German, living in Germany, I just lived in Ireland for 18 months. So you should be safe from evil hate mongers. Good luck with the interview.

E:

Okay, that church story appears to have been debunked. Mea culpa.
I must have been thinking about the migrants who burnt down their refugee center because there wasn't enough Nutella and, I kid you not, gummi bears.

I mean, in according to police in Hamburg, migrants are only eight times as likely to commit violent crimes, so I shouldn't be taring them all with the same brush.

You sweepingly disregard my relatively neutral source without even trying to provide one yourself.
You post some obscure supposed headline without even providing any link to the source.
You defame a whole group of people who fled civil war as being in it only for the money, again without any backing.
Next you're gonna tell me it's all a cover up by the state hinder the rise of the AfD?

That's so rich.

I also sometimes feel people are living in/visiting a different Germany than I. My life has been remarkably untouched since 2015 and traveling the country I don't experience any of what McFanny described above.

I can well imagine this to be very different in public services like police, nurses, or teachers though.

I think it's due to the fact you work your regular job (99% of the refugees won't ever have access to due to really bad standards of education among the people who came to Germany during the last 2 years), go to your regular favourite places (99% of the refugees won't ever show up there since shit costs money and they have very little), meet with your regular friends and acquintances (...language barrier), etc pp.

Point being, at least the current outlook depicts this society becoming even more separated than it already was after the capitalistic rampage and anglicisation over the past 20 years or so. When you had people like 3rd generation turks/middle-easterners, of whom a fuckton will stay in lowest pay jobs for their whole life, since they have a hard time adapting, you now have a new precariat of people who aren't just bad at the language, they simply can't even have a conversation about other things than the most simple of all.

On christmas eve, I spoke to two guys, one from Syria, being an Alevi, the other one from Iraq, being a Kurd. After a while they went on raving about muslims and how they're fucking false people and fuck everything up. How they had to hide their beliefs in the humanitarian shelters they've been in etc. While that shit's pretty sad and disgusting, what got me going really was their seeming incapability of letting go of such things. They've been here since 2015, almost 2 years should be enough of realizing this being a secular country and you can just avoid muslims if you want to. The place I met these guys in was filled with some 50 people, all of them at least being born here, none even remotely religious at heart. And the only topic these guys can concentrate on without having difficulties to speak is this shit.

Now imagine the guys they've told me about. Do you think they're any better?

PS: The worst thing is, I almost automatically wanted to add a part about me being a lefty, having taken part in political activism and all that shit, until I realized how foolish that looks. Why would I have to excuse my humble opinion and the sharing of my experiences on the matter? Because we've all been brainwashed to the point of not even speaking our own personal sense on a matter, as there are people constantly lurking to call you a nazi and xenophobe. Also in this thread.

You're smarter than I am, for the longest time I always brought up my leftist-cred (as in linksgrünversifft, not what counts as left in the US). Apparently not wanting to import religious fascists makes you a fascist.

If that's the New Years story from Dortmund, no it's not just about it not being the oldest church but it was completly incorrect. No church burned down, noone tried to burn a church down either.
Apparently tons of fireworks, one stray one went into the scaffolding and that was all there was to it.

Really... a single stray rocket on silverster isn't going to set a church on fire...
