They held symbolic, weekly 15-minute traffic blockades on Fridays at 11:52 am, the time of the collapse of the building front that triggered the movement.
The blockades of faculty buildings were done by students and protestors and opposed by police, but police and students never really had any real clashes and the blockades were all temporary.
It's a bit less dramatic and "revolutionary" then you painted it there, but not that far away.
Anyway, the vote wasn't just "a stamp", it was the whole point of the protest movement, get Vučić out, have him do elections, that is the point and end goal of any smart and would be successful electoral system, and they did it, the fact that the vote was the crowning achievement and the goal all of them worked for shouldn't be dismissed.
It's the only way to have a lasting change that is seen as legitimate in the eyes of the rest of the population who might be brain washed as well as the world.
That is the point, the only way that a different option can come to power anywhere, including in USA is by using legitimate ways do to so.

The gap between even your modest interpretation and what "progressives" (nevermind the establishment dyhb Democrat wing) in the US are willing to demand/do/support speaks volumes.
The voting isn't the point. Fundamentally changing the circumstances of the people in opposition to the status quo is the point. Voting is a small part of that compared to the years of organized mass civil disobedience that leveraged people to eventually vote the way they did.
EDIT: Like I said, I'm not too familiar with the particular details, but this is some context I found.
Students in Belgrade supported by professors, teachers and members of the public on Monday started a 24-hour-long blockade of one of the busiest highway interchanges in Serbia’s capital, the Autokomanda.
After dozens of violent incidents at previous protests and blockades, when protesters were rammed by cars, including two incidents in which two students were seriously injured, Monday’s blockade was supported by farmers on tractors as well as by bikers, who provided security for the protesters....
The blockade was a new step after tens of thousands of people protested in Belgrade on Friday and as tens of thousands of others held protests in towns and cities across the country. Many cultural institutions and businesses responded to the students’ call for a general strike on Friday.
Amid the ongoing protests, students have been blockading university buildings for almost two months since a protester was attacked in front of the Belgrade Faculty of Dramatic Arts on November 22.
