I think it might push a fair few people who were thinking of donating, but wouldn't have gotten round to it, over the edge by giving them a time frame they have to donate within.

480k so far and so much more to go. Awesome.

But robots don't have brains

I'm trying to figure out, why sometimes, when the runners are there hanging around with a bunch of friends and are only chitchatting with each others, it is extremely entertaining (like right now) and sometimes it is extremely annoying(no mentions here, but has happened more then enough this AGDQ) But i can't find the difference. :/

Different people are different.
Some people are more comfortable on camera, and some groups feel more comfortable around each other so they don't try to force it.

I think it's mostly a question of tone! Plus, most of what they're talking about is directly related to what they're doing in the run, so it doesn't feel like needless noise or anything.

Of course I donate with hope of winning something! But it's not only that! Aside from a yearly support of the local Red Cross and Air Rescue I normally avoid all donations for "good" causes. (seriously, I hate Christmas time...) AGDQ is my time, where I give! And I really like PCF! I get their newsletter and it's always nice to see/hear, what they are doing and what our money was managing to achieve! If there is a hat (or a Finley statue...) in for me ... why not?

Also might make people donate more, if a person might have only donated 10 $, could donate 15 instead just to win the price

Sometimes i wish i was a billionaire, i'd live life exactly as i do now, but use all my money to screw with things like this by randomly donating half a million towards random goals.

Just walk in on stream and drop the 1 million dollar check and walk out like a boss.

I passed out during Hots Good thing I woke up in time for Borderlands 2

I fell asleep during the sc2 run and woke up to stomach pain and quantum conundrum. Damnit. missed the half life and portal.
