When it comes to psychedelics that demonstrate no neurotoxicity, the question as to the effects of these chemicals on the maturing human brain is not as simple as it is with drugs like cocaine, heroin, or even smoking marijuana. Given relatively proper environment and experience, there is no reason to suppose that the brain of a man who tripped at the age of 17 is in any way less fit than that of one who waited. In fact, if one were to look at how many successful folk took part in the likes of Woodstock and other radical, drug ridden gatherings while being very much immature brainwise, I think some very interesting questions are raised.

Hindsight is a bitch. Technically it keeps developing through your whole life. A recent study came out saying that neuronal growth in areas associated with emotion and emotional memory actually increases as you age. There's also the common theory that brain structures themselves are set and finished growing by age 25 (or was it something about synapses and neuronal connections) and there's little changing them.

Yes my understanding was that it develops through your whole life but at the same time there is definitely a child brain, adolescent brain and finally the fully formed adult brain. This adult brain will still undergo changes but I believed was more "finished" at some point in your twenties and after that only the day to day changes of life experience will affect your brain as opposed to actual growth/development associated with puberty. I'm quite one for general existential curiosity, on such substances I end up invariably thinking I am dead/don't exist and freak out lol. I like the idea, the 'reality' for me is somewhat less fun. That said this is really only my experienced while high, and bar some elevated stress levels/heart rate post-trip, I don't see necessarily what they would do long-term to brain chemistry unless you use them habitually. Not saying, that there wouldn't be adverse neurological effects

If you don't like a rule, by all means, go ahead and try to change it, but in the mean time you need to have a little faith that it is possible that some of those other people out there know more than you, and that there is a reason for these laws that you don't understand/put enough weight in. Sometime being part of a community means conforming to things that you don't like. And if you can't get on board with that, then you are better off living in the woods. There are some extreme examples where defiance is necessary, but the ability to get stoned/make money off of getting stoned is not one of them. Unfortunately, nobody told governments to stop national boundaries from growing because we have to keep some woods neutral so anyone can go there and form whatever communities they like that can live however they like. The position 'if you don't like the law of your community/culture/country, you're welcome to leave' presupposes a realistic prospect of leaving. This isn't the Middle Ages, when half the planet was unclaimed. There is no realistic prospect of leaving for people who don't have enough money to buy islands in the Maldives. Consequently I feel no moral imperative to blindly follow laws just because I exist within some geographical proximity to them. The difference between laws and customs can be huge for the purposes of social consequence, but has no biological leg to stand on. Humans didn't evolve to understand the fine distinction that breaking customs they disagree with is frowned upon but OK, but breaking laws they disagree with is straight up evil. We still won't break laws if possible because of fear of social rejection, but we're not hard-wired to see the legal system as some be-all, end-all higher power. See: drivers in any big city, who know full well the costs of adhering to the speed limit on Highways and busy streets. Social rejection beats out legal imperative every time.* @Reason: rock on. *author was exaggerating for emphasis. Obviously not every time. Enough times to make the point.

There are other sites that operate in nearly identical way. DPR got busted because he fucked up, but everything that allowed the site to function still does. The crypto wasn't broken, it was just a failure of the human element. In any case, do your homework and don't do anything stupid.

I know there are other sites, but I thought it is no longer safe for the people buying. I mean people are still buying but I thought it was more like no one cares enough to arrest everyone buying but they could if they really wanted to.

While DPR was not that strict with security, the police used parallel construction in order to find legitimate evidence to arrest him, eventually he was gonna get caught regardless, he just made it easy.

I mean people are still buying but I thought it was more like no one cares enough to arrest everyone buying but they could if they really wanted to. Its possible that people could get arrested and jailed as an "example", but these will be token arrests just like what happened with a select few in the states for downloading music. In the end the FBI have bigger fish to fry, they will go for the owners and possibly a few sellers but most likely not the buyers. It would be naive to think that you are hidden though, everything is probably monitored, but you are just a cow in the herd. That's why I don't bother encrypting or anything, if the police really wanted to catch buyers, PGP encryption wouldn't help me at all, its not one-way encryption (e.g MD5) which is pretty much the only safe form of encryption IMO. A form of wireshark with decryption is probably a walk in the park for them.
