Topalov vs Kramnik never disappoints. Fight to the bitter end. They only had one draw since toiletgate.

I love the show at Chess24 with Gustafsson and Trent, much better than the NorwayChess stream, only they have player cams...

ROFL, 131-move chess meatloaf with fortress standing on board for like 50 moves. Then, out of nothing, Giri cooks up the winning plan, sacs a pawn, infiltrates the Kingside only to miss the prophylactic 120. Qd7, denying Black's Qc6 possibility. Then it's a draw again and Anish keeps going on autopilot with no sense of danger whatsoever, until he blunders a mate in 11.

Funniest thing is that he had literally 100 opportunities to offer a draw that would probably be immediately accepted.

EDIT: Oh, I didn't knew Plexa follows chess. Any real-world rating or sth?

Standings after Round 7:

1. Kramnik (+2 -1 =4) - 4 points
Caruana (+2 -1 =4) - 4 points
Karjakin (+2 -1 =4) - 4 points
Carlsen (+1 -0 =6) - 4 points
2. Grischuk (+2 -2 =5) - 3.5 points
Agdestein (+0 -0 =7) - 3.5 points
3. Giri (+1 -2 =4) - 3 points
Topalov (+1 -2 =4) - 3 points
Aronian (+1 -2 =4) - 3 points
Svidler (+0 -1 =6) - 3 points

Closest tournament ever? This is pretty crazy...

Gotta feel for Giri there. 2 massive blunders in 1 game, from completely domination to completely even to total lost. What a marathon of a game.

Two more rounds to go and literally anyone can still win this.
The 2 Norwegians are the only ones that haven't lost yet.
Agdestein is a big surprise so far, he still has to play MC however.
MC is playing his bogey opponent Svidler today.
Mind that if two share the first place in the end, there will be blitz/armageddon match to decide the winner.

Amazing performance by Agdestein. The level of his opponents is insanely high and yet he didn't lose a single game so far, while Hammer got hammered last year.

Looks like Carlsen is gonna take the tourney, I guess Agdestein will be a piece of cake for him tomorrow

Edit: seems like Magnus miscalculated sth with Rxf4

Edit2: this game just turned crazy

Svidler-Carlsen game is now equal. Two insane blunders from Carlsen (well, especially 24....Rfxf4) when SF put the game at -2,77 in his favor (fourth choice for his 24th move was still -2,56). Probably one of his worst screw-ups in recent years?
