The Brexit Party currently has 14 seats, which are all(?) former UKIP seats, who are right now down to 2 seats but won much more in the last election.
But hey, this 0->24 story line reads much better...

If anything these initial polls show a glowing endorsement for Brexit.

You're really clutching at straws here buddy. Anyway if Farage can retain his one Scotland seat from UKIP then he finishes on 29, a 5 seat improvement from 2014.Brexit party wins all English regions outside of London, Brexit party wins Wales with 2/4.

The tories have been divided down brexit lines for sometime: from the polling the party members seem to be in favour of hard Brexit approaches, and while they have sunk down and suffered in the past year, the path is clear. Get Boris, get No Deal, steal all the Brexit Party votes, ??? Profit! The labour stance however has been a unmitigated disaster however: While not taking a strong enough stance on either side of the brexit debate in order to try and not lose their "working class" heartlands in the north. And doing this waiting for the tories to self destruct before aggressive moves: they have been haemorrhaging votes to all comers. There is no centre ground for labour, maybe not for anyone on this issue. You can try and be a wizard and exact compromise and negotiate, but look how well that worked out for May. Further, unlike the Tory party, the much larger labour membership is very pro remain, and for the leadership to go against their members is not a winning strategy in the long term. So Labour, you need to categorically pick a side, and it needs to be a strong anti-pole of whatever the new tory leader promotes. The tory party is the weakest its been in ages and still you fucking suck. Its amazing.
