Pound has gone up a bit. No idea why. Let's see how it changes after EU-UK negotiations soon.

Edit: Probably because Bank of England considers increasing interest rates.

I think most people will remember that he is an opportunistic politician who looked shocked and ill and ran off when interviewed over the results of the EU referendum. To be honest I don't think anyone is suprised he is making a run to be leader of the Conservatives.

I don't think he could win the conservative leadership but him even challenging brings the government down and causes other people to challenge after he does.

Cameron presided over two particularly consequential referenda. Perhaps it's to his credit that the better result won in both of them - but he basically staked his entire reputation on Remain and so he left the PM and then MP position in disgrace. Far as I see it though we (as the world) just replaced one incompetent with another.

I hate the tories as a party but they really need to sort themselves out and get a cabinet with competent individuals capable of organizing effective action.
Brexit is so important that we can't afford to carry on into the negotiations with the current bunch of jokers.
I don't know who I would want as a tory PM though. Cameron and Osborne looked like fucking geniuses compared to whoever's available right now.

So Churchill is a bad man then. Even though he saved us all from nazis, he still gave a large chunk of Europe to Soviet Russia. Maybe not everything is black and white?
