I am trying to get a hairstyle like in these pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() The third picture is from the Japanese movie, "Go". So my question is.. How??? My hair is long enough, and after a shower, I can blowdry it to look somewhat like it for an hour if I'm lucky, but I have not figured out how to make it stay.

You can probably train your hair to that style. With some long hair, a little water here and there, some use of your hand, and a few weeks time, you can work your hair towards that, and make it easier to achieve if you do use gel with it. The back of my head is something similar to that of the third picture. I wet my hair and hands a bit, and push my hair up. If Im laying down or sleeping, I keep my hair pushed up with the pillow. It took me a few weeks, but I eventually got the outward spiking hair thats respikes itself when I comb my fingers through it. But your hair length kinda makes a difference too. Ive had two haircuts over the past six months, and I havent been able to get back the style that was just perfect for me. ![]()

I disagree with the advice to use expensive hair products. The best results ive seen came from shitty matte waxes at Big Lots. Im guessing expensive hair products typically assume you have an expensive haircut to match. Youre not really supposed to use a lot of gel/wax/watever - if you see the directions on most containers youre only supposed to use a tiny amount. anyways, if you really want your shit to stay, use blowdryer --> glue + hairspray. Be prepared to lose some hair and use a hell of a lot of shampoo to get it out though.

I prefer not to give a shit about how I look and what other people think about it, I am who I am and that's how that it works. (No I'm not dirty, I keep myself level, but I don't really care if people don't like the way I look, and if you use the argument that girls won't be attracted, then that's the kind of girls I don't want to be with, attracted to outer beauty more than what a person is made up of -_-; Plus,I live in NY, many tend to be sluts/money whores/materialistic bitches, so many of them, I swear ![]() I can not find a single reason why you would not want to look your best. Good looking men are more successful than average looking men, women (all sorts, not just materialistic whores) will be more attracted to you, and you will feel better about yourself. Sure, it's some work, but it's defenitley worth it. Nobody likes an unkept guy.

I'm considering trying to go to a very reputable and expensive hair place and see if it makes much of a difference ;o It does. My girlfriend brought a picture of the haircut she wanted into Hair Masters, and they gave her something so completely different it was hard to believe they even looked at the cut in the picture. It didn't look bad... but not was she asked for. On the other hand, I go to a small salon and have a consistent hair dresser (which helps a lot) and I always get what I want. It's not even very expensive, at $25.
