For holding: http://www.perfumebay.com/769295094865.html and this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002QPMVO/ref=nosim/002-0979295-0744862?n=3760901 + heat, will get it hard (like solid hair) On July 14 2006 22:40 SweeTLemonS[TPR] wrote: Since the subject is kinda here, does anyone know of something that will keep your hair looking more stringy? That's the only way I can really describe it. When my hair gets long it looks like shit when it's dry, but totally badass when it's wet. So, my dilemma is that I have to constantly keep my hair wet to make it look decent, then everyone is asking why I wet my hair, or just let it look like shit. I kinda want something like gel that will keep it looking wet, but I don't want it to be so hard. I want my hair to flow freely. It's hard to describe... Something to make it look KINDA like this, but not nearly as gay, and more seperated than that. I have exactly the same problem. I went to a styler (after going and asking in several places where i had my hair cut and no good answer. When i saw this girl she told me that my hair lacked hrmm i dont know how to say it english but as like it was dehydrated. So she told me to use some (language barrier here) 'humid' creams. We call them "cremas humectantes", which basically hydratate your hair again. The are the kind of creams you put on after a bath and no need to take it out with water. Over that you can put some wax in order to have more control over your hair + wax has oil so it keeps your hair more humid for longer (and it keeps the water in your hair from going out , sorry i dont know how to explain better). In case you wonder about the products, here is what i use having the same problem as you. http://www.americarx.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=5541 (for rehydrating my hair) I use this only sometimes or when my hair is too long because it keeps it pretty in place. http://www.beauty-mart.com/user/catalogue/product_detail.php?productid=7696 (this is the wax that has oils, etc) http://www.dove.com.ar/comoestatupelo-result-therapy.jsp The second one form the right is the humid cream im talking about, Dont worry about having to buy all this stuff. you will probably be good with the humid cream you use for combing only. I have had that wax thing for over a year using it whenever i go out (college or anything) and i still have more then 1/3 of it :S gl!

apply your gatsby or whatever on moist hair. Use a hair spray on it after. Then use a dryer(low power) on it. This is what my friend does to turn his hair into nails. He uses gel tho so im not sure how it would turn out with your product.

honestly. it sounds like your problem is that your hair is thin (gel doesn't last and hair falls flat), and i have the same problem myself. i use a product that is supposed to make my hair fuller, and it does work to some extent. i suggest you get a product like that, and i wouldn't be to picky about what one it is. mine cost only about six bucks, so they are probably all decent. another thing you might consider is getting a new haircut. short hair is best for thin hair, since hair looks thicker towards the roots. a short messy cut would be good.. something like the guy in the middle of the second row on the asian hair styles site.

Glyo: Yeah I know what you mean, but this is the first hair style I've had that both me and my girlfriend agree on. (I used to have short hair, then red hair (uhh that was for halloween when I was Reno from FF7), etc.) and like I mentioned before, I don't want to take any risks with any new styles unless I'll be sure it'll look okay on me. About the hair fuller, what does it do exactly? Make your hair thicker? I'll try it out, but it makes me sad seeing asian guys on the street with cool hair that stays up and it seems like they have thin hair too (especially some Japanese guys, but I think their hair just stands up naturally or something, I don't know :X ). Thanks for your help

Then I found ICE Spiker Glue. It is the most amazing thing in the world, only problem is learning how to apply it, you have to squirt a bit in your palms, rub your hands together, run it through your hair then style it before it becomes impossible to style and your hair starts to tear out because it's so sticky...BUT I CAN GET THE STYLE I WANT SO IT'S WORTH IT. http://www.sleekhair.com/2459.html I bought the 16.9 oz pump and it has lasted me FOREVER, about a year now...if you have 20 bucks to spare it's all you'll ever need, I guarantee it (I sound like a commercial but I just want to help a fellow SCer in need, my SC skills suck so I might as well help with something I know =P) P.S. Here's how my hair looks when I use it: http://photos-906.facebook.com/ip003/profile/1792/28/n3221906_18611.jpg It works for pretty much any style, I mean the stuff holds like glue (it may or may not actually be)

I mean, granted, I am incredibly good looking so my hair doesn't matter that much, but still, you don't want to look like a slob. I'd imagine you don't see many people at all though, if you don't understand what I'm saying.
