could be, however oily hair is generally considered offensive in north america, not sure about europe.

Most of the time, if your hair stylist says you have oily hair its a bad thing :/. Its just one of those euphemisms I guess.

Alright I tried the wax + gatsby hair spray + blow dryer combo this morning. It looked great but eventually parts of it fell down. That either means it's not as effective as I hoped or I just need to apply more hairspray/wax or something.

I'll go shopping for some of the hair products mentioned in this thread soon, thanks!

Wow, where the heck did you find gatsby hair spray? I couldn't find it anywhere short of Tokyo...

if you want it to hold all day, use got2bglued As long as you don't go crazy with it, you're hair will remain soft and whatever form you created that morning.

Hmmm I go for a similar "spikey messy" style as you but in a slightly different way... I use a wax that feels almost like clay from a local salon and it works pretty good. But yeah, I need to find some better techniques because sometimes nothing works. I think I need to learn how to stylize too, but taking too long annoys me in the bathroom. Maybe a more accurate haircut for my style would help, but whatever.

Your hair just looks too long to hold up for as long as you want it to. This is when I get my hair cut, once its either so long in the front its goofy or it falls down to the side.

I found that got2b glued gives too much of a stiff feel, and to the poster above me ICE Spiker Glue holds up almost any length hair, it's amazing :o

No, it's not conditioner. It's a mosturizer for hair. Revitalizer is probably something else it commonly gets called.

Sculpting lotion is the best imo. The saloons uses them while styling and hairdressing. Hardly sees them use clay or gel nowdays. It's easy on and easy off and stays in shape rather long. The downside is probably the mulas you pay for it.
