Contact is definitely a winner, a lot of the other songs are really too slow to judge right now, requires additional listening, but there are a couple that sound like they will grow on me, Giorgio, Instant Crush, Touch, especially the ones where they allow a bit more complex melody and faster pacing, like Contact.

This album is gonna be a grower for sure. So far I like it but am not really jumping up and down like nuts. But thats how discovery was for me as well, and that album is by far one of my favs.

Edit: doin it right is my fav so far

Contact was the only thing that blew my mind. The rest is just so.. mellow. Which isn't a bad thing necessarily, but still.

I actually love it, especially because it's so different from the other albums. I find it weird people argue that only fanboys would defend the album to death, when it sounds so different from all the other albums. If you only like the Homework-sound, this won't be great. If you only love Discovery, this is decent, but nothing special. If you like the Human After All sound, this isn't even close to that. If you like Alive 2007.. this rarely reaches those levels of energy (notable exception being Contact). It just so happens I like Electro, but I also like a lot of 70s and 80s music, so this is right up my alley.

Also, it took a whole lot of years for people to appreciate Discovery the way they do now, and I'm really curious to see where they'll be taking these songs next. There's a lot of mix potential for sure, so if you guys are right about this I'm really looking forward to the daft punk mix to this album (:

Didn't quite get the vibe that I had during all of the collaborators clips. Kind of disappointed in that manner. Otherwise i think its a pretty good album. Really liked the Touch, Get Lucky, Doing it right and Contact is best imo :D.

Hope their remixes will be even better with the vibe collaborators transmitted ~~

The album is pretty good. I especially like Get Lucky, Contact, Beyond, Motherboard, Doin' it Right, and Giorgio. I really like the piano on Within.

Damn the live-drumming sounds amazing. Makes the music sound a lot more expansive and urgent than older Daft Punk.

Dude this is not happening. This can't be the real version. I'm so disappointed right now. I knew this was going to be kind of a more funky and laid back piece but what happened? This is not the Daft Punk I know and love; Besides the song ''contact'', I don't hear any daft, nor any punk. All I hear is autotuned funky pop. I can understand why people would enjoy it though. It's a fine piece of music by itself.

All in all I would say that this album is uninspired, and if it was released in the 60s, then maybe it could have been called the sound of the future.

I don't get why people like Touch. Have you actually listened to it and to the vocals? It's absolutely over the top atrocious ;p.

For what is supposed to be a 'west coast' album its still extremely french, you hear influence in it from recent french electro (justice = contact, giorgio by moroder = kavinsky, certain songs sounding like they could have been done by air). And yes, it'll get remixed again, probably the same treatment they gave human after all by integrating it into the rest of their work for live shows.
