you should definitely visit one mediterranean country (spain or italy in your case)! you can't compare their athmosphere to anything else. ^^
as for germany. dunno what might interest visitors apart from the people and maybe the alps. --y if you time it right you can visit the oktoberfest in the end of september in munich. many visitors go to neuschwanstein (castle) which is about 1,5 hours from here (munich).
maybe a short visit to berlin but overall i don't think there's much to see in germany that you can't see anywhere else. unless of course you have a car, then you'd have to try the autobahn (but you don't, so forget about it ... ). D;

I'm leaving for Europe around the same time (May 17). The plan was Amsterdam ->Florence->Venice->London->Paris until June 6 with my Dad and Brother. But last night I came second in 20+2 40k guaranteed on PP and pulled in $6500 US, so I'm going to stay for another month and check out southern France, Switzerland, Germany and Czech. I would very much like information on how easy it is to find casual work as I would like to extend my trip as long as possible. I'm 23 and a Canadian citizen.

for germans it is pretty hard to get world cup tickets and they're really expensive
but for sure you can not buy those tickets illegal (ppl on street selling it, dont know the english expression), because all tickets are registered for specific persons

I hated Spain when I went there in the summer. Freaking hot and humid, all they eat is egg, bread, and pork. It's freaking gross there.

hehe, I'm going on my euro trip the 17th of June, and I'll be staying till August 25th. I have no real plans, me and my friend will be staying with my cousins in Frankfurt, and around the end of July this girl invited me to Munich. I'll be going Norway as well, I have an uncle and an aunt to visit, Amsterdam for a weekend with my friend, probably london as well.
See, my trip is not even organized, all I know is I'ma get fucked up, and try to hook up with as many chicks as possible. Last time I went germany was December-January 04/05, and I had a really good time, I also had a lot of my drinks and shit just paid for by random people I met who were really cool.
I've never been spain and my friend was thinking of going, but I'm a little hesistant, they were making monkey sounds when the English players were on the pitch, I just don't want to go and get lynched lol

oh, another thing, Obseletelogic, how are you going about cashing out the poker money? It seems. that going from pokerstars/party - > neteller - > bank account, and then buying Euros from the bank has a lot of fees, and the obvious gay bank rate. How are you doing it??
Right now, Im trying to get my cousin to open a neteller account, then I would just transfer the money to her account, and avoid multiple conversion fees.

cambridge is one of THE places to go if you're in UK. I'm not generally too fond of sightseeing and visiting historical sites but cambridge is a definitely a must-see town
as far as london is concerned I have a couple of suggestions:
- for bars and clubs (esp. if you're not looking for specific music/dj/party), the best place to go is Soho. quite expensive but easily worth the cost. Basically any bar there is really really good. As for clubs, you have to checkout Heaven, The End and Fabric
- go for london eye and museums if you like them
- don't expect a lot of pretty girls. english girls are ugly as hell + they have absolutely no taste in clothes whatsoever
