It's pretty telling that you need to ask that question.

Would you vote for her against a Republican?

Easily. Shes not even a democrat.

No but really in Minnesota they call it the DFL for democrat-Farm and labor party as shes only afliliated with the democratic party. Yeah I would over a republican from texas or jeb from florida. The thing the country needs is leadership that isn't from a "safe state" for their party. She was the county prosecutor for the county that holds the twin cities (was in charge when they caught a 9/11 conspirator). Shes from a state that deals with Somalian refugees and all the problems that come with them. People don't know but Minnesota accepted a lot of hmong people who were from Vietnam (California accepted more but thats a much larger state) during the cold war and has recently grown a fairly large (proportionately) Somalian refugee population. Minnesotans have gone to syria to fight for ISIS. Shes from Minnesota so the NRA can't really pine against her as anything other then a democrat candidate.

Everything the country is really struggling with I see her coming from at the very least a place where she can understand the issues and hasn't done anything to make me doubt her on things like returning the confederate flag we won.
A wise man will say that he knows nothing. We're gona party like its 2752 Hail Dark Brandon

I mean you could try proving that your dislike of Hillary and your rabid love of bernie are rational and not inspired by memes and ads you've seen.

That they (as you stupidly describe them) predate the ads/memes should be your first clue. You wanna keep trying?

I feel like anyone familiar with the thread is well aware of it but I suppose I could find something since I want to be through and your entertaining this despite how it makes you look.

This is when I probably roughly first started to have to defend Bernie here though I preferred him to Clinton immediately after doing some research on him (primarily old cspan clips from him in congress).

If you have a source for ads/memes around that time I'd be happily to look at them and we can discuss how they could have influenced me. But as I remember it, we were making all our own shit because no one even cared enough to make a meme with Bernie

You done?

Trump is polling better than Fiorina and several other candidates. He's within the margin of error from Ted Cruz. You can't blame him for republicans taking Trump seriously.

Quick search shows bernie memes became a big thing in 2015, not sure exactly what part of the year, and if russia started getting involved in them right away or even created them to begin with, or if russia joined in later.

Only if you admit that even if you personally believed the misinformation before it got big, that many other bernie bros are the result of russia's meddling.

Looks like russian money in facebook ads is said to have begun in july 2015. Aside from the list of ads that russia was behidn that NYT posted, I don't see a way to find which other ones they were behind, or the specific dates that those we do know of began. I suppose it would mean you first started your journey on the way to bernie before russia had a chance to make sure you did what was in their interests. Of course that's not to say that your opinions after that were not influenced by their meme campaign. We know you peddled some of the same anti hillary talking points that conservatives and likely russian troll factories did as well.

K, so when you are, let us know. Until then please stfu with the "you're a Russian stooge" type crap.

Only if you admit that even if you personally believed the misinformation before it got big, that many other bernie bros are the result of russia's meddling.

And take away both their agency and the shit ton of hard work people did to even get Bernie into media discussions, let alone to a point that Russia thought promoting him was worth the effort? Based on the idea that what ads/memes? had anything more than a minimal influence on the growth of his support?

Uhh... obviously not.

Which get's us back to the larger argument, for which the example of US propaganda being circulated that you ignored, is a great example. You want to think some silly memes and ads with minimal (compared to the aggregate of media) exposure was some huge source of Bernie's support but can't even engage with the idea that US propaganda just may be influencing you and liberals as to your understanding of both what happened what how and in which ways it was significant.

All this on a now admittedly baseless accusation weighed against a concrete example with a poster from this very forum.

That more reasonable voices have sat idle rather than call this for what it is, is one of many factors that contributed to disregard for factual information liberals love to roast Republicans for.

I mean you could try proving that your dislike of Hillary and your rabid love of bernie are rational and not inspired by memes and ads you've seen.

That they (as you stupidly describe them) predate the ads/memes should be your first clue. You wanna keep trying?

How do you know they do though? Can you source when your love for bernie started, and when the ads/memes started?

I feel like anyone familiar with the thread is well aware of it but I suppose I could find something since I want to be through and your entertaining this despite how it makes you look.

This is when I probably roughly first started to have to defend Bernie here though I preferred him to Clinton immediately after doing some research on him (primarily old cspan clips from him in congress).

If you have a source for ads/memes around that time I'd be happily to look at them and we can discuss how they could have influenced me. But as I remember it, we were making all our own shit because no one even cared enough to make a meme with Bernie

You done?

Looks like russian money in facebook ads is said to have begun in july 2015. Aside from the list of ads that russia was behidn that NYT posted, I don't see a way to find which other ones they were behind, or the specific dates that those we do know of began.

You don't think the contrast of what you thought you knew about the influence of Russian ads on me and what you actually know could at all be the result of the propaganda you've been inundated with since the election?

No, US propaganda did not influence me to like Hillary and dislike bernie. The fact that he had no clue how anything works did. The fact that he tried to offer the moon with nothing more than a step stool, and that the bernie bros actually bought the bullshit. The fact that he wasn't aware that the things he promised, he as president would have zero power or ability to actually do. His promises were not any more reasonable or realistic or possible than trumps were. Hillary on the other hand had actual policies that were possible and realistic. The fact that you chose to go after the guy selling you fairy tales and unicorn farts does not mean anyone who saw through it was influenced by "US propaganda" which you have yet to show any proof of ,compared to the russian propaganda which we know influenced people.

The saddest thing about this all? Hillary herself is no more cognizant of the reason she lost than the “everyone else fell victim to Russian propaganda” crowd. Makes it clear that this isn’t just the failure of some people on the internet but a more systematic shared delusion.
History will sooner or later sweep the European Union away without mercy.

You did say influencing me and other liberals. I suppose I answered only a part of the question, but unfortunately that's par for the course for this thread and for political discussion in general. Honestly I have no clue what you even mean by US propoganda. The only things I've seen that I would consider to be propoganda have been from republican sources (fox news, breitbart, infowars, naitonal inquirer, etc...) and the ultra left sources. To my understanding most of the "liberal" sources that weren't pro bernie, were things like NYT. And if you consider NYT to be "US propoganda" then I don't know what to say to you anymore. I suppose I could be misunderstanding your point though.

My god. You stripped that part of a sentence from all of it's context and your response still doesn't make sense.

I linked to it (the example of propaganda/it's liberal source in the thread) in the comment linked on this page already but since you seem to be being inordinately obstinate about this:

Thousands attended protest organized by Russians on Facebook

Shared over 16,000 times just by their own count, tens of millions of impressions from just that one article alone. Let alone all the spreading done by people at the time all the way up until the liberal who posted it as a source for it's errant HEADLINE claim made a half ass walkback to the idea that it's only misleading in that no one knows if it's true or not. Like that's not a HUGE problem for an article like that and had no bearing on his use of it to support his quote that matched it's headline nearly word for word.

I don't understand the "social media affected GH" argument. I don't think social media (I am admittedly a poor example because i just use facebook messenger and have adblock) has this gigantic effect on everybody. If you're going to disagree with his positions I don't think the "Russian influence" angle is the best way to go about doing that.
