Out of all the words I've mentioned, noob grinds my gear the worst. It means nothing, just rude for the sake of being rude. Bro, on the other hand, can be used endearingly, but when ppl use it on the internet or when talking to strangers, I find it rude. It's basically like calling someone "kid" or "boss". It's sardonic. I had a brother, spent most of my life living in the same room with him. I've had a best friend for decades. Those are my "Bros". Not you.
How is noob meaningless? It means new. As in you are a newbie, or generally new to something. The term originally didn't have any particularly negative connotation to it, as who would expect someone to be skilled at something they are new to? Over the years it has become pretty negative in most uses, but plenty of people still use it relatively endearingly, such as when Tasteless and Artosis cast and talk about "newbies watching the show," etc.

I also hate commercials, videos or anything using "dubstep"(you'll see why i used "") What i mostly hate is that people think that dubstep is this aggressive high-pitched noise bass, including tons of random noises to fill in. But it's not their fault that they are being mis-informed, all the so called "dubstep" channels on youtube upload this bizzare and awful pack of sounds, and they label it as Dubstep.

Yeah, that wasn't really the technical term. It's hateful speech, imo. Not actual hate-speech. My bad.
edit: Also, I always thought that there was a difference between "newb" and "noob" (splitting hairs a bit, I know). Newb is a lot friendlier.

My aging automatic transmission on my 15-year old car grinds my gears.

I hate when people put shitty music* in sports highlight videos on youtube, which unfortunately is any music in a sports video.

Losing when I totally should have won.

What grinds my gears is people arguing with no hint of objectivity, be it on TL or in politics. It's so totally uninteresting reading or hearing arguments where you can clearly tell one or both sides are just so invested and sure in their beliefs that nothing can shake them.
When people start replacing words to "strengthen" their argument, like taxation=looting, criticism of immigration=racism, zergs superior win rate=terran can't win, i tend to just alt+f4 or rip the newspaper in half.

what grinds my gears is when my girlfriend tries to drive my manual car......

When people know they are wrong but they will not give up their position even after they have been proven wrong.

Agreed. Unfortunately that's just how a lot of people are, and this phenomenon is augmented by the lessened degree of accountability and heightened anonymity assured by the Internet.
What grinds my gears is those situations in which I'm really happy, and before I've even had time to bask in the happiness and truly appreciate its awesomeness, BOOM something bad happens to ruin it. It might be this tiny insidious little thing or a tragedy, but it happens so much ;__; can never seem to become truly happy and/or satisfied, let alone "stay happy" (which is significantly more difficult). Though that might just be indicative of my personality as opposed to "luck".

That I care too much about stuff that I shouldn't really care all that much about.

Internet "deals" that involve "simple" steps. Usually these have you giving out info to about 15 different places, subscribing to several "free" trials, and generally getting involved with subscriptions or memberships that charge you out the ass if you don't carefully read all the fine print.
No, I did not fall for anything like this. Occasionally I do push the buttons and read the fine print just to see what the "deal" actually is, but I have yet to find any that are actually legit. One example, a Green tea based metabolism booster supplement being offered for a few bucks for a 30-day trial supply. The catch? If you don't cancel in 15 days AND return your unused portion of the sample you get charged 80$ (really? they want my 15 pills back after I've done who knows what to them? not that I'd do anything to them....)
Just remember, if something looks too good to be true it probably is.
