It can prove Zimmerman's case well. I never realized that you can tell that from a gun wound :O What happened? Just turned it on 3 seconds ago. he testified that the gun wound spread and density shows that Trayvon was alive when shot(it's red) and the spread and density indicated that the muzzle of the gun was on the shirt and not directly on the skin. That kinda indicates that Trayvon is on top since his shirt would be on his skin if he was on the bottom. He also said that the gun would be around 4-6 inches or so away from the skin on the shirt and that he tested up to 18 inches for accuracy purposes. Didn't we already know this via the coroners report ages ago? This is further proof that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman when he shot him. If what you say is true, the defense would not feel the need to hammer this point away to prove that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman so I can't say if it was already known ages ago.
Probably moreso to reinforce that fact. With how much testimony the jury has heard, it's not a bad idea to hammer home the idea that Trayvon was definitely on top of Zimmerman.

If it was also known that Trayvon was on top, this just hammers it away. Defense used a similar strategy yesterday to hammer another point away(forgot about what though lol)

also this is important because it shows the trajectory of the bullet isn't straight ahead but more to the side. this is more believable if you were pinned on the bottom you'd likely draw the gun and wouldn't get a direct straight shot.

hmm 1-3 minutes to die compared to that 4-10 min where I think prosecutor was saying that or something. Wonder how accurate that is

You can't bruise a dead body? Tell that to Det. James McNulty.

edit: man, this guy is worth his weight in gold so far. He's giving the defense a lot of good stuff.

/endrant.
sorry, incredibly off topic.
edit; this witness forensic pathologist said in his expert testimony he sees evidence of AT LEAST 6 strikes on Zimmermans face/head. Goes on to say there could be more because of variation in the human body to 'show' wounds/trauma.
This is quite the contrary to the prosecutions witness that said all wounds are 'consistent' with 1 blow. OF course, she went on to say the evidence is 'consistent' with 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 blows as well. lols.

what's with this flashlight business? anyone know where he's going with it?

Armed with a flashlight.
Armed with a bag of skittles. Let's just throw the word armed around. The can of tea Trayvon had is probably more dangerous than that wimpy flashlight.

It's not. The expert was like "Haha, I expected it to be one of those big steel ones. No, you might give someone a bruise, but that's not a dangerous weapon" (paraphrasing mostly)
