is there such a thing as 'common sense' gun regulation that we have been hearing from democrats? when all they want to do is remove guns from citizens? it seems that 'common sense' gun regulation is to fight that when citizens are allowed to carry assault weapons that can kill double digit civilians in seconds, is to arm more people. this might seem like a boon for the NRA but do you really think the NRA wants more mass shootings? partisanship has really compromised the intricacy of the discussion. by the 2nd amendment, it is appropriate citizens are able to arm themselves with weapons to protect themselves from both criminals and from potential government despotism. but if every citizen is able to carry an ar-15, shouldn't every cop have the same firepower? it's an arms race in our own damn country. and if citizens can't carry the same firepower that a cop has he is afraid he can be overrun by the government in the event of some kind of post-apocalyptic government takeover with citizens being shot up in the streets. the more i ponder it the less i understand.

It is absolutely mind-boggling that the US refuses to improve its policy towards gun control. Firearms are a multiplier of the mental health, and terrorism / hatred problems in the US - it's not an one or the other.

Well you could say the same about muslim terrorists. At the end they are people with a death wish and a colossal resentment trying to inflict as much pain as possible, supporting their hatred with an ideology. The thing is, without the ideology, most of those killings would probably not happen.
