 instead copped a kka coat from mercuryjapan, the guy there was really nice and helpful. didn't have to use a proxy since they ship internationally and he marked it way down as a gift and removed the tags, etc. so I shouldn't get hit by customs (fingers crossed). at RRP it was much cheaper than the merino too so I have $$$ left for some sort of light bomber/varsity. idk what to get. always hard to find something in xs although there is this white toj moto on grailed for $450, but I have no idea how to pull it offthe coat is currently stuck in fucking customs and most likely won't arrive until monday/tuesday, so goddamn annoyed. might pick up some +j trousers/jacket, really lacking in casual wool trouser department and those are cheap as chips in an unrelated kind of rant (which I'm sure I've done before), I feel kinda bad buying nice stuff because I'm single, not dating anyone, don't go out much, work in a formal office and have a small, close-knit circle of friends that don't dress well at all, and hence don't have many opportunities to actually wear all my stuff. made a list of all the items I own and realised that at current rate I can put together 5 different outfits but only have 2 days a week to wear them. definitely need to sell some stuff but even then wearing wool trousers when I go to the pub is well out of place | ||

Any guide on what I need to know? I'm a total newbie in that area. Where can I find decent Tailors in my area? (Google?) The last shop I visited for my suits also sell some shirts (in the 80$ range). Is it a good idea to buy shirts there and then have them adjust it? How much should I expect to pay per shirts? (I want to make an order of custom shirts, say 5) Thnx ^^ | ||

If you want to have stuff made to measure, there are loads of companies that do it online. Luxire, propercloth, moderntailor are the most popular ones. Prices range from like $60 iirc to however much you want to pay. You can find loads of reviews on blogs. Alternatively places like brooks brothers, charles tyrwhitt, Kamakura do decent ready-to-wear shirts. | ||
