thats the charcoal, green one is gone. Everyone who ordered from NMWA should've gotten their shipments by now, if anyone sized wrong, they should start putting up listings within the next few days. I imagine the charcoal and greys would only take a few hours to find buyers. The green took about a day.

One thing that's surprising is no one's actually flipping these coats. If they're put up on ebay with an open auction, I'd imagine a bnwt would probably go for $1500+

Obv not gonna get any new, was just looking at designs and wondering what I should be looking for. I think I prefer fewest zippers possible and smallish collar but I've no idea. One question is if the leather jacket is longer than normal, would it be weird if they're not worn with some kind of drop crotch bottoms?

I've a pair of black somets that are more charcoal than black, something like this but slightly darker in person

and about to get a pair of acne maxes. Also gonna get some vtb tees.

So I'm thinking I can rotate those two pants, which are both slim but work with my random crewneck sweaters and also with the merino. The moth cardigan is its own beast and I honestly don't know any pants that fit the loose drapey silhouette besides ss exhaust trousers. So standard fall outfit would be a long tee underneath, another tee or sweater on top and either a long hoodie or a jacket/bomber. Generic but simple and hard to fuck up. Rotate with SS button ups or OBCDs instead of tees for more dressy fit. And on the weekends I can do old man with beer belly engineered garments floral/exhaust pants roleplay whereas others do urban homeless ninja roleplay.

Also looking for a black boot, like this CP distressed combat boot that are no longer available,

has to be lace up, no dressy toes, no workman boot silhouette. Recommendations and advice please and thanks.

i'd add a pair of non-denim. maybe chinos in dark grey, or zamB DNAs, or something with an interesting texture.

can't help much with boots, i only know workwear-ey ones (1ks, redwings, etc). NMWA has these on sale [1] but they're crepe soles.

why only EG on weekends? do you work fulltime?

here's my closet holes:

- shorts (athletic because i always use them) aka university ones for $10-$30
- shorts, something that goes with linen - under $50
- pullover knit, SS - hoping for under $150 relatively new
- trousers, something in grey, in between black denim and actual suit trousers that goes with different formalities and i can wear to church. interesting texture preferred, i really want some moleskin - under $150
- think I should get +J trousers?
- black boots, black sneakers (might finally get the butteros on sale, and either SLP highs or cp bball/tournament high)
- heattech and maybe 2 more T's from everlane or something
- a cheap tie i'll order next time i have a thing to wear one to

and then luxuries:
- outerwear revamp
- a real bomber that's not just my uniqlo one
- better coat (currently have a USN/milsurp peacoat that's a size small bc i grew)
- uniqlo down (because its cheap and thin)
- a buncha college gear

would appreciate recs for that first section, esp with pants and shorts lol.

on a side note its interesting to see stuff i wanted a year - 1.5 years ago. flight pants, isaora stuff, a suit, meermins, schneider coat...

some stuff's been consistent, i guess thats my sign to get them

i've an isaora hoodie, it's pretty sturdy and heavier than usual, they had site wide 30% off a month back. I'm attracted to the +J parka, perhaps trousers too but I've a feeling everything's gonna be insta-sold out and i'd have to drive an hour to the physical store. I think ima kop some fryes, not that cheap for beater boots and apparently awful quality but I really can't find anything else. Those butteros look weird.

i guess the ones i linked are pretty workwear/hipstery idk. those are probs something i'd wear though lol. i'd get isaora but im kind of out of the techwear thing, and in the kind of weather i'd wear something like a riding shell in i don't care what i'm wearing. i have enough hoodies too.

Don't like the contrast sole stitching and the sole pattern from the side. Honestly I don't think there's ever a need for non dress black boots if not going ninja, cuz brown is much more versatile and less serious.

btw thoughts on this undercover bomber? grailed has so much stuff now, everyday there's like 30+ new listings. I'm afraid if I post on SF someone will kop it before me.

Black dress boots are shinier and prettier. More interesting leathers because of the shine too.

I dont like how the zipper goes all the way up, its kinda distracting. Dunno how it fits though

docs...

i associate docs with wannabe punks so idk how to feel about them (except for the 1461s, but they're just derbies). i also dislike every colorway except for the mono black (contrast stitching is the worst).

also i don't think swinger shorts are very ninja, i mean they literally just look like shorts to me, albeit longer

oh i was looking at a way different picture... lol. i def want a pair with a slightly dropped crotch, especially if i keep getting taller linen shirts like I have been. and i like the play with super relaxed footwear (sandals/espadrilles) if stuff is loose and lower. i think what i really want is some tamer yojhi.

i feel the same about docs, but ive seen them in a few fits that worked pretty well. didnt save them though.

these look like a ripoff guidi 995/991 with more eyelets and narrower shaft
buttero has some really nice laced sidezips, they were available at barney's a couple months back.

however I'd advise against getting boots like these if you're not that slim or tall, otherwise they make your legs look very stumpy. just an odd unfortunate consequence of proportions.

docs are really not my thing but I've seen some decent outfits with them. they inevitably remind me of clown shoes, or something that a skinhead might like. no hate tho

I have no shorts other than jogging shorts. I might just pick up some outlier shorts to wear with some regular stuff, but that's pretty low on my priority list
drop crotch shorts in general aren't that great for me, they make my legs look like twigs lol

Do you know how they size? And what should I be considering when picking between distressed leather and regular leather? I imagine distressed can't be dressed up and the texture is better for ninja draping. But I'd be wearing them with regular black denim and either a leather jacket or bomber, would a smooth leather texture be better? Thanks for the rec I was pretty close to getting the made in mexico fryes.

yea those

at the time I was looking for some Carpe Diem alternatives and these were the best.
they fit half a size to a size larger like most boots, and the last is wider than what it looks like from a frontal angle.

because you're considering motos with band collars I don't think you're necessarily going for a ninja draping style unless you're getting the incarnation
and imo I don't think it's the type of bottoms that decide the texture of your jacket, it's the shoes/boots. eg, I'd wear something matte/distressed with reverse calf boots and something smooth with regular calf boots. obv that's just my personal preference.

Did you get the suede ones? Just realized the leather ones are dark brown and not black. Not really sure how that's gonna work as I'm trying to picture a grey coat/black jacket, black pants, and brown boots. Even though it's dark brown, I imagine it'd look weird with a black top right? The distressed suede would probably look better with wool coats but suede is terrible for winter or so I've heard.

Shorts are overrated. It was 30+ most of the summer here and I found light cotton trousers to be just as comfortable. That one pair of AKOG shorts I got is nice but I can't shake the feeling I should only wear shorts to the beach/pool or something.

Also, fuck the customs.

Yep, officially fuck the customs. Got slammed for 45% of the value on the parcel. Thank god it was reduced to only $300 or so instead of full price. Should've asked for $0 value and just born the risk of it being lost, this is ridiculous. Will post fit later.

This KKA coat is absolutely fantastic. Melton wool, quite substantial but not overly thick. Fully lined, with two outside pockets and two inside pockets and functional button cuffs. Buttons are all horn and there's a hook at the top in place of the third button. Fit is super slim with high armholes. I'm XS and this is almost too small for me (this is size 1, so also XS). Definitely not a layering piece. Length is pretty much perfect, it ends just above the knee. I feel like that with a coat this slim you need that extra length. Really like how it looks like when hooked up as well.

It only took one day to arrive from Japan to Poland but got stuck in customs for another 7 days >_>. Like I mentioned before, I got slammed pretty hard, VAT, not quite the 45% I said before but 23% VAT + 12% import duty + some handling fees and it adds up pretty hard. Fortunately value was marked down to 30k JPY but I should've asked for like $0 value. Total cost with shipping, paypal, customs, etc. was ~$770. The guy at Mercury was really nice, really helpful and super prompt. 10/10 service, would shop again.
