Most Schneider outerwear has the same silhouette but varying length. To be safe I'd just take the measurements and get something like the Algae, they're about the same price. Which store are you in? There are a bunch of NA stockists. Gravitypope, other shop, Suspension Point in CA, Forward, La Garconne, maas stacks, NMWA, few more in US. It's good you have the convenience of trying it on in person but you don't have to buy it retail as long as you know your size. Also beware that a lot of Schneider piece sizes differently and one apart, 4=5 for some, 5=6, etc. | ||

the effect is pronounced because the fabric is thick enough so that it looks semi structured, and i think the coat would fit better if it were maybe .25" narrower. but i doubt sizing works like that, just a nitpick. and the coat is supposed to fit like that so I'd avoid getting it taken in. i think it'll look different with layers underneath and trousers instead of shorts. | ||

I think he got the right size, but I'd prefer if the shoulders were a tiny bit narrower. if he got a size down it may look completely different and not the way the designer intended it to be. this is one of those issues where the body doesn't fit the garment and you'll either have to tailor it a tiny bit, order a size down to try it out, or roll with the one you have now. I'm more comfortable keeping it as is despite my gripes. I'm also completely sure it's a different design compared to the lookbook model in fw11 (no detachable knit lining, ribbed at sleeves and botton, jacket vs coat, etc). the one from frozen waves was called the alpaca hooded jacket (I think?), this is completely different and far more loose fitting, although the hood is relatively the same. | ||

Edit: Yeah, actually shoulders are fine :D. But sleeves. There is really no way too long sleeves can be flattering on that kind of piece. | ||

I suppose the ideal body type would be taller than 5'7. If i wear a sweater it would probably look better in the shoulders. I have another couple days to decide before my hold on it expires. What do you think of the length of both the coat and sleeves?
