and i have a pretty close friend in japan for the long term that could help, but he'd have to order online and ship it to his address first so it still adds to the postage. tbh i haven't actually talked to him in a year so asking him for a favor out of the blue is kinda weird, but if you're really desperate i could give it a shot. now that i think about it i should actually shoot him an email lmao On August 21 2014 06:15 zulu_nation8 wrote: What are some boot soles that wear well in winter? I'm trying to find a sleek shaped, plain, no brogue or captoe mid to high ankle (like virgil height) dark dark brown or black boot that either has a winterproof sole or wouldn't look dumb if I put one on it. Red Wing - toebox Wolverine, Alden - useless in real winter White's, Nick's - heel looks so fking grotesque Trickers - there's like one version, burford I think that has a lug sole, don't know exactly what model and they're not easy to find in NA. Viberg - so many models, random releases, expensive Virgils - fragile and useless for real winters, or so they say Yuketen maine guide/visvim grizzly or similar - Very particular style and doesn't match my ultra rare hoodcoat. Blundstones - seriously considering Thinking of copping mid dark grey CPs, would go with hoodcoat and will be fine for wet weather but not when shit gets real. Generally wouldn't feel comfortable wearing expensive boots in rough winters unless they're really built to last. | ||

Most peacoats are around 200-300. SEH Kelly had one a few seasons ago. there's a bunch I can't think of too. Just get bean boots like me  . I have black, but depending on your wardrobe navy or charcoal is better. especially when all your boots are brown. 200-300 is the lower end/sale price of some nicer stuff though. Schneider jackets go down to like $400 at the end of the season, and might look better. | ||
