So ideal 2 tie closet - I have a solid navy knit. do I get a textured solid black, or a dotted black/white? Grenadines are out of the picture, since I'm looking for a cheap ($20) tie. TheTieBar, or something on grailed/SF market is probably my source. edit http://www.grailed.com/listings/17836-wolf-vs-goat-peacoat-navy

![]() Running Shorts ![]() Just picked these up from Outdoor Voices, they make some serious quality running shorts, best lined pair of shorts I've ever worn. I train parkour/gymnastics daily, going to pick up another pair and probably some sweats from them. The jacket has yet to arrive, waiting for the sweats to come back in stock in my size. Wings + Horns pique terry pull on short ![]() These are super comfy and allow for a wide range of motion. They have a kinda flowy feel when I train/run in them, but there's not so much fabric that I get tangled up in front/back tucks or vaults. Also picked up a couple tanks, including one in jersey material with a fun red rose print.

Also are all the founders of these japanese brands like KKA, IS, LUC, Julius, etc originally from the same place? Like they all worked at CCP or something? If so that's pretty crazy. Also Fear of God, wtf is this lmao: ![]()

If so that's pretty crazy. er no some of these details may be wrong cause my memory is hazy: CCP is an eponymous label founded by Austrian born Carol Christian Poell. another important name before I continue: Maurizio Altieri, man that founded Carpe Diem and runs m_moria (last I heard). KKA is a branch of Attachment, eponymously named after Kazuyuki Kumagai (?). he worked under Issey Miyake. IS is by Yoko Ito, she worked a bit with Altieri and others not important to mention + Show Spoiler + im joking i just dont remember them all Julius is another Japanese label started by Tatsuro Horikawa. also the founder of the label Nuke before it closed down and catalyzed Julius. this guy actually designs based off anime, he's the coolest tbh. LUC is an Italian brand started by Luca Laurini (? something like that), former worked at CDiem. was responsible for much of L'Maltieri's stuff (a line of CDiem, knitwear and other fabric based garments. basically, had a hand in stuff that wasn't leather) a brief opinion on this topic for some reason there's a weird kind of movement that has the idea that 'labels like luc, augusta, MA+, bbs, IS, etc are all just moneygrabbing offshoots of ideas founded by CDiem and CCP'. idk where this all started but I think it's rather myopic to say that all these people are just doing this for the money. if you juxtaposed their work with current ccp and remnants of carpe stuff, they undeniably derive concepts but do so in a way that clearly shows each respective designer's handiwork and creativity. anyhow, just a random thought.

I'm redoing my whole wardrobe. Basically throwing out 80-90% of my wardrobe xD Do you think $1k is good enough to get started? Any tips on how to get more out of my budget? Thanks for any advice.

You can probably buy everything at Uniqlo and have a decent sized wardrobe for $300 barring shoes and a winter jacket.

4x champion compression/ventilated underwear - 40 (fucking worth) 12x undwrwear (i spent like 60 on uniqlo but just get w/e) 12x nike socks - 36 Raw denim - 200 Chinos (dockers/uniqlo) - 30 2x uniqlo shorts - 25 5x everlane Tees - 75 (honestly you can spend $40 on uniqlo) 3x uniqlo ocbd - 60 2x other shirts (linen/chambray/flannel) - 40 Some nice boots - 200-300 cheap sneakers - 40-50 Total - 750-850 That's about 2 weeks for me, you can cheap out on a lot of that stuff as well. Like you dont need everlane Ts or great boots if youre somewhere hot. Add in a milsurp peacoat for 100, or uniqlo down for 60, maybe more pants if needed. And ofc workout stuff, sandals, etc But yeah dont hardcore cheap out on outerwear/boots/weather specific stuff. I try not to cheap out on socks either. But it depends where you live. In socal instead of boots id get more sneakers, linen, maybe tanks etc You want lots of neutral colors (whites/blues/greys/tan) that match well. So any pants can go with any top, etc Dont buy it all at once. Do research.

Thanks for the advice ![]() My underwear is always expensive (I can't wear anything else other than Calvin Klein) My problem is I'll see pictures of clothes or what's in the store and everything I like is expensive lol, but yeah. I'll start out with basics and I guess just keep adding gradually.

A schneider flannel instead of a uniqlo one, (insert ocbd brand here), etc. but the point is to have a hollistic sense of what youre putting into your closet first Gotchya. Let me ask you guys one thing. How do you wash/dry your tee's? Do you follow exactly how the tag says? No matter what it seems like my shirts always shrink and depending on the brand the collar on the tee will lose it's shape.
