Yea but hes still getting the paid vacation but i can almost guarantee hes not off to Hawaii, probably meeting with teams of lawyers trying to save his own ass.

You don't convict based on public opinion. I am certain the man has paid leave because it is standard procedure any time a judge is accused of misconduct. You have to determine guilt before you are allowed to destroy a person's career.
The context is put out in the video. The guilty act is shown right in the video. You can fully see the man's face, and he has admitted to it. The wife admitted to it. How is that based on Public Opinion?

na, i'm not offended by anything, this is human nature, we will do whatever it takes to get what we wants as long as we think we can get away with it. after reading what Egyptian_head said, I realize she's indeed pretty smart for delaying her revenge after she was no longer depended on him financially. There is no pure black and white in this world, no such thing is good and evil, everybody are capable of both, in this case I suppose both the father and daughter are assholes, but one is smarter than the other. The father underestimated his daughter, and he paid for it. The daughter got her revenge by ruining father's life good for her.
As for the beating in the video, i don't care much about it, i like to look more in depth into analyzing the reason for their actions Do I think it's alright for parents to beat their child? no, but i do think it is the parents' right to kick their kid out if the kid does something parents strongly opposed. It is only fucked up if the parents of said kid is keeping the kid for their own spanking entertainment. Which I don't think this is the case, because the dad should be laughing joyfully if that's the case. So obviously dad still loves family, but just frustrated at the provocation(which is intentionally acted out for this video by the way)

Also this brought back memories. *Sigh* good times lol. I remember doing the exact same thing she did. Took 15-20 lickings to my legs because I wouldn't give my parents my ass to be beat. Legs hurt 10x more so I don't know why I ever did it. This isn't bad at all. There's really no mental scars. You'll be hurting for the next 2-3 days but really that's all. She's not even really crying at all towards the end. And the parents do explain why she got beat and why they were upset with her.
Its not as big of a deal as people are making it out to be. Last beating I had was 14. My younger sister was 16 because she did something really stupid. All in all instilled discipline/made me learn. Have nothing against my parents for beating me. 99% of the beatings I got I KNEW I did something wrong.
I'd say 75% of my CLOSE family members cousins/uncles/aunts are heavy into drugs or in prison doing LONG sentences. Varying from drug trafficking to killing of their wife. Grew up in a bad part of town. I remember hearing jokes when I was younger from family about me being beat with the belt by my dad and how they were going to send their kids to live with us so they would learn to behave. I actually thank my parents for beating me looking back at things and comparing myself to the people I grew up with that were never touched.
<3 Rearing the Asian stories btw. No offense my friend, but I don't think you ever got beat like that and then had your dad leave and then come back again because "he didn't get his real licks in." The guy is fucked up, period. He's also a "judge." Someone who attests to being of good moral character, sound mind, and clear judgement. You think that's what he was exercising in this situation? I don't think so.
My friend if you must ask and even if you didn't ask - I'll tell you because I love this subject. My mother would beat me then my father would usually follow up because my mother didn't really have a good enough swing to really make me learn. And I wasn't beaten by just a belt. There were a variety of house hold items that were used. The thing that made you REALLY cry (not like in the video towards the end) was the vacuum cleaner power cord. You would hear it whistle through the air as it was coming down to meet your legs/ass cheek. It was a good idea to start crying as loud so you would get some mercy on the following 2 whippings.
In my parents defense I only got beat with power cord 3-4 times in my pre-teenage/teenage years and it was only 3 strikes each time.
I'm actually laughing right now - remembering how my mom would tell me: move your hand, move your hand or its going to be FOUR whippings instead of THREE. And I would actually move my hand an just take it. My parents knew how to discipline me in terms of "physical punishment" thats why I'm not against it. Parents would always give me warnings. As her dad probably gave her when he said in the video, "I told you before [...]" or something along those lines.
The most creative way I heard was from a female friend and her mom. She would never hit her right away she would always tell her she would get a beating later on the day. Sometimes she would wait for her to shower and go in to beat her when she was in the middle of the shower. She told me the story laughing so I'm sure she's not emotionally scared. She told me she was maybe 9 or 10 at the time.
My parents got beat 10x worse than whatever they did to me. They've told me and my grandparents have told me what they did to them. It's what you take from the beatings. I really don't see anything wrong in the video. What he said he said to add emphasis. What effect would this have if you said: I do this because I love you directly afterwards? Maybe the following day would of been nice, but now I'm running on a tangent. So... yeah. :p

Because he has not been tried by a jury of his peers yet.

I'm going to forsake the act of being tactful and just say this out right: Your thought process is all-in-all an utter disgust. Simply because you got beat as a kid and think of it as a "cool war story" of sorts, does not mean that this is acceptable behavior. Beating the utter shit out of your child is neither acceptable nor "a good teaching." If your stories are true, your parents should be in jail right next to this guy. "Creative" ways of beating your children aren't clever, they're disgusting and represents a disturbed psyche.
edit: beating your child "randomly" throughout the day as a "shocke" represents not an attempt at discipline, but as an attempt to administer pain on your child. And simply because you laugh about something doesn't mean your not disturbed by it. I'm pretty much sickened by you to be frank.

What is with these people trying to brag about how their parents beat them when they were kids?
The girl is physically handicapped. She is not able to defend herself. The dad beat her for 7 minutes. Thats gotta be 100 lashes or so. How the fuck is that justifiable? If you think this is okay, you have some serious moral problems.
Laughing about being beat up as a child, wtf?

So... yeah. :p What you're saying is "I can take it haha no big deal so everyone can take it." The girl posted the video seven years after the fact. You have to have a mental disorder if you don't have the empathy to understand you have to be profoundly traumatized to do what she did. What matters is that she's traumatized. You don't choose to be traumatized or not. Her parents were abusive, stepped over the line, and her father will probably face repercussions for it.
But to the people saying "I want to kill him" and "he should be executed" yeah that's ridiculous. But at least they can identify with other human beings who are in pain. My stepdad spanked me. I'm 23, I will resent him forever, and I think he was wrong, and achieved nothing by doing what he did for trivial things. But I'm not going to apply my childhood experience to everyone. Different cases are different.

So you're basically saying that you never got anything like what this girl got. Watch the video again if you like, but she gets 10+ (and she got spanked already one time the mom says). You're basically saying in a round about way that you don't have an problem with responsible corporal punishment. I'm saying that is very clearly NOT what is happening in this video. Your parents spanked you WITH RESTRAINT, because they LOVED you and wanted you to be a good person. This guy is clearly just fucking pissed.
If you don't listen to police after you committed a crime, they shoot you, is it justifiable? Sorry, but that's what police do, and no matter what you have to obey what they tell you. She didn't so her father got angry.
I can't tell if you're being serious.
a) you realize that most of the time if the police shoot you in that situation, they are NOT justified, right? Unless you are presenting a clear and present danger to others, they are required to use the least amount of force possible. b) Your parents are not the police.
I hope you don't have any children until you are much more self-less than you are now.

I'm not going to argue in circles. I will say I'm 23 and I'm looking back on things I think back with a sense of humor on some of the things that happen in regards to this subject. They never did it without reason.

100? He doesn't even break 20. Feel free to count.

People are fucking disgusting

More proof that corporal punishment is used by mentally inferior mouth breathers who are unable to solve problems without resorting to violence and should not have children. They've not gotten beyond their neanderthalic base instincts of getting mad and hitting things and they are often lazy. Also an example of why people should have to get a license to be a parent, so that these angry and violent shit kickers don't have kids and inevitably abuse them.

I dont understand how people think beating a child can honestly help discipline that child. I mean actually BEATING not a spank on the bum or on the lips or something. Full on, non stop beating is disgusting and parent who has to resort to physically abusing their child to get them to behave is a terrible caregiver and should be jailed ( I mean continuous beating not 3 spanks) As soon as I heard the guy say ''I'm gona beat you into submission'' it took on a whole new level for me, that judge is not only a terrible parent but is a disturbed and sadistic person. It seems he is finding joy in hurting his daughter. Regardless of what the girl did, she should NOT have been beaten that badly that was just wrong.

The dad beat her for 7 minutes. Thats gotta be 100 lashes or so. How the fuck is that justifiable? If you think this is okay, you have some serious moral problems. Pretty sure Police only shoot you if you try to attack them. Unless were not speaking about US police?
So basically by your reasoning if my daughter disobeys me I can do whatever I want to? Can I cut off her arm? Rip out her hair? What can't I do? Fact is, as far as PHYSICAL ABUSE goes (note, a single spanking is not really abuse), if you can't do to someone on the street, you shouldn't be able to do it to your kids. Why the hell would you want to hurt your own flesh and blood anyways? Fuck this whole "it helped me" thing. Dozens of studies have shown the exact opposite. You want your kids to behave, you tell them why it was wrong and then, in this case for example you take away her computer. Beating her is only going to make her hate you, not stop the problem.

As much as I like the idea, I'm afraid humanity will be instinct in couple hundreds years, just cause everything is so fucked up. :D
Its sad...

This thread is so chock full of direct examples of how victims internalize abuse and later use their abuse to justify abusing others, donning the mask of those that abused them.
It's not only sad but downright disturbing.
