Fundamental rules make it impossible to travel back in time, as things can not be unmade. If moving backwards through time was possible, a person could prevent themselves being born rendering an impossible situation. Therefore, one can only travel forward in time. And if I could travel forwards in time, I would not change a thing, since I am already traveling with time.

To be honest, I would travel back to the very beginnings of Habitable Earth. Think of how much different things must have been back then?! I don't think we as humans even have any idea what it could have been like.

I'd like to travel forward in time to witness the true golden age of man. When we don't fear such petty things as atmospheric storms, and big asteroids. Basically I'd like to travel forwards in time to when Mankind is a Stage 3 species on Michio Kaku's scale.

i'd make a list of all the broodwar and classic builds being timed out so far , practice ALL of those AND mechanics for a year and then go back to starcraft release and fuck up everyones shit for a decade as the bonjwa of bonjwas...
everything they come up with will get crushed because i'd be YEARS further along in the metagame
after my decade long reign of terror i'd retire right about when flash becomes ridiculous sit back in my kickass villa laugh and have a good time

If I were to travel to any given time it would have to be sometime in the future.
wouldn't it be awesome to see how Earth looks in 900 years? :D and besides I dont want to risk the whole "change something in the past and you might not even get born" thing

This is a pretty tough question actually, there are a number of answers to give. I think what I would choose is to go back before September 11th 2001 to try to stop the September 11 attacks (if only by sending in anonymous calls before the planes take off to get security to check them). Perhaps I would go back shortly before World War 2 and warn as many Jews as I could in Germany before the Holocaust occurred to save lives, or maybe to try to warn the naval base at Pearl Harbor, or warn Poland before the Blitzkrieg.

If I had the power to travel through time, I would try to save lives.

I would travel back in time and steal the first PC computer. Then knock out Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, the Woz and anyone else around at the time and put them in a room and make them all come to terms so we don't have this ridiculous PC vs Mac divide. ITS THE SAME DAMN HARDWARE PEOPLE!! Why do you care so much what stupid software it's running?!?!

Seriously, I have so much rage when people argue about computers. It would solve so many problems. Honestly this would remove about 80-90% of the smugness and 40% of the hipsterism in the world today. It would also make many many forums a safer place.

I'd travel backward, for sure. Because if you travel backward almost any amount of time, there's a way to turn that into infinite amounts of money. And money is awesome. Also, I'd be able to fix things that were fucked up beforehand, both to be nice to myself and world, and to simply be a badass hero. I'd probably go back like 7 years, so I could accomplish all of that as well as say goodbye to my best friend before he went away. I'd assume the identity of my old self at 17 years of age. =D

If I could travel back in time I would travel to march of 1998 to the release of SC. Now I never played SC or SCBW competitively I only played it for fun custom games with friends. If I could go back in time I would love to to try out my shots at being a professional SCBW player.
