Well, it felt at times I was watching a roast on John King. I think it was a fair question to ask Gingrich, but not to start out the debate. Rather, maybe he can have a 1 on 1 with TMZ. I would have liked the time to have been filled with more discussion on the economy and jobs.

I'll never shed tear over a reporter getting ripped. With all of the proverbial colonoscopies that reporters give out, I'll always cheer when they get nailed -- particularly when they're sticking their noses into something like this.

Of course Gingrich would say bringing up his affair is despicable. The man is scum enough to cheat on his wife while she's fighting off cancer, he doesn't want anything that makes him look bad being brought up.
He's not a decent person, he's one hell of a huge hypocrite. Spouting 'christian' and 'family' values while cheating on his own family.
And of course, every out of work person in the country is out of work because they are incompetent and don't know how to find or hold a job, which he also has said.
Every candidate the Republican's have are all out to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. I wish we could get at least one who wants a decent tax code that tries to get everyone to give their fair share, aren't interested in pushing religious values, and aren't so disgusting that you want to puke after listening to them. God do I miss Goldwater.
Fun fact: The New York Times recently conducted a poll, in which they asked people which issue were they the most upset/angry about and felt was most important to them. The overwhelming majority of people answered that it was the enormous wealth gap in this country (55% of poll takers were Republicans I believe, that number might be off slightly but I remember it was over half). Yet not a single one of the candidates for presidency seems to be interested in addressing this issue.

Gingrich leads Romney in SC polls out just now from We Ask America and PPP. Forecast update coming in a bit.

Europe isn't only greece you know and Greece is as bad as it gets. Sure you can image scenarios where this spirals out of control, but "Europe crashing" is a bit hyperbolic as of yet.

I'd be really interested to see what would happen if Paul won the nomination, though. Because he is tied 50/50 with Obama right now, but that's despite a rather obvious media blackout. Personally, I think Paul would have a better chance at winning the election than Romney, but Romney will get the nomination.
This has always been my opinion as well.

God, I almost want to see Newt win the nomination and become president because you just don't know what he'd do or say. It'd be like playing craps! You just know that the seven is coming (Newt's craziness), but you don't know when or in what form.

Or, to be blunt, he's the most acceptable person who is not Obama. Obama is far from hated. Polls show him at a tie with Romney and Paul if either of them get the nomination and beating the other two if they do. Obama's approval rating is also just under 50%. He's not hated by everyone, and once he actually starts campaigning, he'll destroy any of these Republican candidates. He's a significantly better speaker and campaigner and I firmly believe that unless something goes catastrophically wrong that none of these Republican candidates are good enough to beat him. He's significantly better at reading off a teleprompt and has more money and is the incumbent. And when Greece defaults in March and the rest of Europe gets hurt, people will be feeling a bit worse about Obama because the ramifications at home will not be small. Teleprompters? Really? We are going to go there? Presidents should spend hours memorizing their speeches?

And at the same time to try and get Clinton impeached for the same thing. Don't forget that.

Yeah whether you love/hate him, no one can deny that one of Obama's strengths is his debating/speaking. Which is honestly why I don't see Romney beating him (at least in a debate) Maybe Newt if he gets asked the right questions, or Paul.

Newt Gingrich has no chance in hell of beating Obama, there's no way he could get enough moderate support, and there are a fair amount of Republicans out there that hate him as well. Not all Republican supporters ignore the past or pretend it never happened when electing a candidate. The man is despicable.

Oh no! I just meant in debating, as he seems to have some wit and savageness. But nah he'd get destroyed in a general campaign.

That was tongue in cheek, though I seriously doubt that Obama will "destroy" any Republican candidate.

Err, if he's awful off teleprompter than I can't wait to say whatd you'd call all of the Republican candidates... Well, Paul might be slightly better. But Romney or Santorum?

That's fucking amazing. I remember a John Stewart moment after Newt announced his candidacy where he goes something like PPPPPPPLEEEEEZZZZ WIN TEH NOMINATION. I don't think he was kidding.

Hey guys, does anyone know if there is a video of today's debate up anywhere? I can't find one but maybe it's too early.
