So they are sexist when they joke around. Let's be honest here, lotsa men are sexist/racist/unethical/etc. when they joke around, and those who support that say it's cool bro we just joke around, dont get all fuzzy about it.

No man in history, no stand up comedian, no show has ever made fun of a woman's genitalia being cut off, i dont think you understand the difference between a sexist joke and a "joke" about cutting people up. Sure this talk was unappealing and disgusting but so is a rapejoke and I dont see ppl go nuts everytime someone tells a rapejoke
There is a difference between telling a rapejoke on 4chan, Destiny's stream and reddit and then a workplace, school or any other place where -normal- people hang out, if you told rapejoke at a working place you would get fired.

What the? this is sickning really, I'd never laugh when I hear about a woman being mutulated like this so why do others laugh when the same thing happens to a man?
I'll count on it that 99.9% of the people hearing this laugh because of shock instead of actually finding such a thing funny and the other .1% to be bat shit insane and living in a trailer park, alone.

I find this story fun. How many posts on TL about thousand of women who get their clit cut for stupid religion reasons? Do you really think it's easier to be a woman in our world? No, it's WAAAAAAAAY harder! It's actually fun because it is surprising, humour is based on this. You should not hear to nurses in hospital, even if they take care really well of patients, the jokes are sometimes very hardcore during the break.
We can joke about everything but not with everybody.

I am astonished at how many people here think that this isn't a crime, but instead a joke.
We're talking about the permanent mutilation of a human being combined with the psychological shock of the victim being forced to watch the destruction of an appendage most men hold in high regard.
There are jokes, and then there is inflicting permanent physical and psychological harm on someone.
That is in no way funny, and should not be funny to anyone who has a lick of sense.

There would be nothing massively wrong if the did it in their own home, but the point is they didnt, they did it on national TV, which is the unacceptable part. People sitting around with their friends can be as offensive to each other as they like, but when you are leading a broadcast, there are certain guidelines you should follow, and I might be mistaken, but making fun of someone who has been victim to a violent and irreversible crime, be they male or female, is so far past the line its a joke that it was so lightly broadcast.
