Keep your off topic discussions out of this thread and show some damn respect! |
reading this document (1500 pages) that has been posted here sends a shiver down my spine
seriously..
(actually what I think this guy did was: He had an opinion and he knows that stating an opinion wont get you anywhere in this connected world. So he did something which would be covered in every news becaue its so horrible and unreal and now can connect it with his opinion and thus get more people to read it.. or at least that was his thought process?)
crazy

After reading some more of those stories this is truly horrifiying. My thoughts go out to everyone involved. It seems almost sureal

It's really far-fetched if you ask me. As soon as you show me a law paragraph, i'm happy to take it out.

The maximum at the moment in Norway is 21 years. I hope they reconsider this law and make it life.

Dearest sir. Please read the OP.
The maximum jail time for murder is 21 years. However, you can be put into what we call "Forvaring". Forvaring is basically the same as prison, but instead of being there as your punishment, you are deemed to dangerous to be put back into society. This sentence can be up to 21 years. When the sentence is almost up, the persons behavior and current situation will be reaccessed, and if he is deemed fit to go back to society, he will be let into society. If he is deemed unfit, he can be put into another 5 years of Forvaring. This process repeats until the person is either let back into society, or he dies.

My condolence to norway and the families. I can't imagine the pain they must feel right now. Reading some of the blogs made me cry. So horrible.
This ^^ I think Stoltenberg has handled this sooo well! He has seemed as such a statesman. Not using this to point fingers at anyone politically (which I'd expect to happen here in Denmark) but just being a good primeminister for his people.
I hope Norway will eventually shake this off and come out even stronger. I've always loved Norway - and we've got a lot of history in common. Stay strong guys <3

People keep saying this but i dont think they realize what that actually means. This guy will spend the rest of his life in jail, 21 years doesnt mean that you will always get out after 21 years. It is like this in many European countries. In Denmark "lifetime" only means 16 years, because that's the maximum, but you wont just walk out after 16 years.

The whole thing saddens me to the heart. Slauthering 80 young people for a "better world". Once again this shows that human madness can be unlimited Not in the mood to discuss penalties or consequences right now.

k, my post has been completely revamped and updated. Should be one of the most complete sources around if you want to link it to people.

They do look like very cheap hotel rooms with the toilet next to your bed. If you want to call that luxury - fine. But the penalty is not about stone and irons anyway, it's about a lifetime of monotony. I would not fear anything else more.

Imagine the following; at the end of your mission, when you have completed your primary objectives - imagine fighting for your life against a pursuing pack of system protectors (or as I like to call them: armed defenders of the multiculturalist system, also referred to as the police). You try to avoid confrontation but they eventually manage to surround you. You hear this song as you push forward to annihilate one of their flanks, head shotting two of your foes in bloody fervor trying to survive. This angelic voice sings to you from the heavens, strengthening your resolve in a hopeless battle. Your last desperate thrust kills another two of your enemies. But it isn’t enough as you are now completely surrounded; your time is now. This voice is all you hear as your light turns to darkness and you enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. This must surely be the most glorious way to claim the honour of martyrdom in battle."

That's a really vague term. If we are talking about evaulations of a criminal's mental health, if this sob can do this, he won't be a angel with an halo 21 years later. You can't really release someone like him.

Somone found this. Disturbing..
+ Show Spoiler + If all fails, I will initiate my career with a private security firm in conflict zones to acquire maximum funds in the shortest period of time to repay the debts.
First coming costume party this autumn, dress up as a police officer. Arrive with insignias:-) Will be awesome as people will be very astonished:-)
Side note; imagine if law enforcement would visit me the next days. They would probably get the wrong idea and think I was a terrorist, lol )

The old saying; "if you want something done, then do it yourself" is as relevant now as it was then. More than one "chef" does not mean that you will do tasks twice as fast. In many cases; you could do it all yourself, it will just take a little more time. AND, without taking unacceptable risks. The conclusion is undeniable.

Let's just say this isn't the US, one shouldn't compare 9/11 to anything and one shouldn't compare this to anything. National tragedies, both on their own "right". Both make me incredibly sad, no need for any comparisons.
