You probably have an hour or so to pass the breathalyzer, but you may also drop dead if you didn't account for your liver not processing any of the alcohol before entering your blood stream. However, there are a couple of issues with injecting alcohol (and by-passing the first-pass metabolism of the liver is really a secondary concern here). The biggest issue you'll face is that alcohol is toxic and it'll cause inflammation with a high risk of clotting in whichever vein you inject. So for it to work and not kill yourself in the process you have to find a very large vein and inject only very small quantities at a time. | ||

Most airline pilots would never be asked to pass a breather test before flight btw. Or need to save money by injecting alcohol. | ||

Will I pass a breathalyzer test if I do that? No you won't. As alcohol travels through your bloodstream, it eventually ends up in your lungs. When you exhale, that's what breathalyzers are testing - it doesn't rely on what is in your mouth. If you inject, or use any other method (I'm not creative), it will travel through your blood, and your lungs, and then be exhaled. You'd fail either way. edit: I see Ghostcom mentioned this already.
