I also hate that Aussies are SO SO SO stereotyped across the world, it's bloody stupid. WE AREN'T ALL STEVE IRWINS. And finally, we currently have a caretaker government because we failed to elect a god damn prime minister in our recent election. But besides those things, this is a cool place to live.

My country is relatively poor but I hate it when people whine about it. Many people say "this is the worst country in the world" and yet this is far from truth. Also I hate it when people tell me to leave to coutry. How are we supposed to fix it if we leave it? I don't like the gypsies! I'm not racist but those guys are like parasites. They do no good for the country! I hate it when people are being aholes in their cars! I don't like the local music at all! It makes the teenagers go insane!

Why do we need to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on new airplanes (f-35) when the planes we made in the 90s are still the strongest in the world? Blows my mind how frivolously we spend money on unnecessary shit.

We spend way too much money on random things that don't matter. Capitalism is fine and all that, but there needs to be some limit so that people don't end up wasting away.

Some people will say our taxes are too high, but I personally disagree. I think those taxes are one of the reasons why we have such a healthy, happy population compared to a lot of other countries. That is not to say a lot of stuff aren't exactly working as well as they could. While corruption is low, incompetence (especially locally) runs rampant, causing schools, hospitals and other services not exactly work as well as they could.

Every second grown up person in this ex-communist country of mine seems to be at least partially racist or homophobic, utterly retarded on topics related to government or anything that's going on outside their specialized field of interest and/or complaining about everyone else being stupid. You'd think complaining without doing anything is a national sport. Newspaper articles online have unfathomable amounts of support for ludicrous conspiracy theories, downright racism or discrimination, religious hatred, and if that fails, stupid bickering. Nothing special, I guess, but the whole idea of my nation seems to be to hold the ideals of this stupid form of nationalism alive. It makes me ashamed to be Estonian every other week.

It seems like all governments keep trying to please their electors instead of making decisions that may hurt now but will be worth it in the long run. Those guys that will talk to the electors intelligens instead of their feelings and desires. Can't complain about that, actually. ![]() Kind of happy about my government, and even popular support is rather high, because the main opposition is hated even more than the fiscal hawks in power at the moment. Very unpopular ideas, yet somehow, they seem to bring some sort of positive effect. (though I'll admit, our government is out of touch with the "average" Estonian.)

The Bad - road infrastructure is bad - general government services (police, healthcare, etc are bad) - gypsies. For all the "anti-racists" here, I'd just say once thing - they are like the Zerg. I wish you have once of those moment when a family of 100 (this is the size of their average family, they start to breed at 12 and easily have 10 children by 30 while staying unemployed) just "plants" themselves in front of your yard. Cause they do that, as French dudes recently found out. Let's see your openness and anti-racist opinion then. Other than that, reading what the developed countries have as issues, I'd say we are a pretty good place to live: - very cheap. With a mid, even low-to-mid average European salary you can live really really well and have access to everything you typically have in a developed country. - the girls are really pretty. I mean, really, really pretty. Also easily accessible and you can get them to bed fairly easily. - the legal age for having sex is 14 - alcohol is really cheap. Like 0.50-1 Euro for draft beer even at some very good and high-end pubs. Hard liquor is also very cheap. - great nature. You can ski and go to the beach, great mountains and everything. - people in large cities are very open, almost all young people speak european languages and are pretty open to foreigners - relatively low crime rate, pretty safe to be on the streets (if you avoid the gypsy settlements, that is) Having this in mind, I am not at all surprised by the HORDES of young Scandinavians (Swedes mostly) invading Bulgaria's seaside every summer. These dudes NEVER get sober and generally think they are in heaven. Which could be true.

Outdated, idiotic socialist policies with an unfair tax system and ineffective, highly abused redistribution. Disgusting bias towards pensioners remaining from commie times, and against the taxpayer, especially visible in politics. We have what, like 4M people working for a 10M country? Overgrown public sector, ineffective money-burning public spending with absolutely no accountability. Highly questionable, slow and expensive procurement procedures and projects. Deliberate hindrance of SMEs, employees and the private sector in general. And then they wonder why the economy is in shambles. Retarded health care financing, badly managed state owned hospitals. Complete mishandling of minorities and immigrants (who the hell comes here anyway). Everything is expensive, people living in parts close enough, routinely go to Austria or Slovakia to buy things. Envy, hatred, hindrance at every step. Absolutely not a country fitting to work and live in. > governments keep trying to please their electors instead of making decisions that may hurt now but will be worth it WELL, DUH. > Cause they do that, as French dudes recently found out. Let's see your openness and anti-racist opinion then We had some gypsy families leaving Hungary for Canada, asking for asylum due to "persecution". Yeah sure. They were offered easy, high-paying jobs, but didn't do it cause y'know, it involved work. So they were put onto some planes and brought back to Hungary. At the expense of the hungarian government of course. Also, in my experience the most staunch anti-racists and hug-your-poor-oppressed-minority socialists are the ones screaming most loudly if a gypsy or other minority family moves into their sheltered neighborhood, or otherwise have to deal with them personally. Oh, forgot one: The outright hostile treatment of hungarians living outside of Hungary due to the treaty of trianon, by our own government.

- Our roads crumble and kill drivers. - Schools are falling apart and producing toxic fumes in worst cases. - Our politicians argue like 6-year olds in the kindergarten. - Our "Jante Law" ensures that nobody ever strives for great things because "we ain't worth crap". - It costs around $130 in customs fee alone for a carton of 200 cigarettes from abroad. - Customs charge approx. $250 for a box of 50 cigars (the box itself cost around $50). - Americans use 1 year on a project, while we use 1 year debating whether we're gonna start or not. - In Norway, everyone are experts at knowing what's wrong. Too bad nobody knows what's right. - Norway is currently harboring the terrorist Mullah Krekar. - In Norway, farmers shove 3 hen into a 1 sq. ft. cage. The eggs are coming! :D - Poor rapists must be defended from the harsh accusations of rape victims. The nerve! - In Norway, we just democratically constructed an Opera house that nobody wanted. - Welcome to Norway, but only if you can afford the ridiculous prices.
