The press scaremongers like you wouldn't believe. Girls diet to reach unhealthy sizes to look like photoshopped images of models. People are scared that around every corner there's a paedophile waiting to take their kids - if a kid is crying and lost in a supermarket, men have to ignore them or else risk potentially being called a paedophile. Also, a lot of older people are irrationally scared of younger people. Often people cross the road to avoid me, just because I'm young (18). Also, people have a habit of blaming problems on immigration rather than on the lazy Brits who're at home on benefits. People ignore what hard working immigrants do and focus on the exceptions. To this end, there are quite a lot of racist groups that pretend to not be - the BNP and the EDL spring to mind. There are more, but I can't be bothered to type more ![]()

About the positive? - Fantastic Weather. All the times i go to northern europe it's a trauma for me. - People like to eat here. I mean, going to restaurants and such. Sitting down and eating 2-3 even 4 hours sometimes. I do that at least once a month, and it's one of the best thing you can do. Fast food are inexistent compared to most western countries. - Eating/Drinking culture. People drink from a really early age, but it's rare to see drunk people outside compared to germany, england or such, because we have a culture that teach us how to enjoy food and drinks. - Scenery and arts. There aren't many country in europe that can argue that. I've gone to Rome 5 or 6 times, for a month total time probably, and i've seen maybe a fourth of the important things you have to see there. Seeing Caravaggio's paintings have no price for me.

Yea thats some fuckin bullshit man there should be a 50$/week max on those thing. I buy a decent amount of food for one person and i spend like 60$/week if that.. I dont like how materialistic America is and how much ADVERTISING AND STUPID NEWS there is. Seriously 99.9% of the shit you can watch on TV is fake/biased in an extreme way and if you even step outside you will get smashed by a wall of target advertising it makes me SICK. I even work for a bullshit marketing company that makes me sick. But I still need money cuz America is like that..

-Ridiculous amount of unemployment at the moment. Wages have plummeted to absolutely pathetic levels because of the 2008/2009 crisis. Companies (especially the larger ones) are getting really comfortable offering just temporary employment, making sure that the wage is low, clearly abusing the system. Job Agencies need a LOT more regulation. -Being a British student and not being rich/supported by your family must be one of the most difficult situations to be in these days. They pay £3,000+ a year just on the fees and are supposed to survive for 3 years... They rack debts of £20,000 to £30,000 after they graduate. Great way to enter working life huh... -Way too many fucking homeless beggars in every town. These are mostly "career homeless" in that they will never even attempt to pick themselves up from the mess they're in. -Hard to find a decent girl with a good balance of looks and personality. Either she is drop dead gorgeous and mentally retarded or really interesting and fat/ugly. -Too many immigrants who come here and hate(d) it. The economy is fucked at the moment, yet you see these people wandering around town looking for any job and understandably getting frustrated. Most end up either in a factory or a bar. This isn't 2002-2004 where you could literally pick any job you liked. -The English are too scared of political correctness. People abuse this to the full extent yet nobody has the guts to say anything to fix this mess. Pathetic. -Young people for some reason feel the urge to leave home as soon as possible. They are clearly not prepared and rack up debts on stupid decisions. How can someone be 18-19 have 1000s of £ worth of debt is beyond me. Parents should care more and not just wave goodbye as soon as their son/daughter hits 18. -Labour (the former government) has fucked this country up bigtime.
