Asking what you liked before it was mainstream doesn't mean that you hate it now that it is mainstream. on topic:I am mainstream.

Not that big of a deal but still. ^ this its not about being better than anybody else because you knew something before it was popular it's that the same people who make fun of you because you do or like something different, are the first ones to follow the new trend once it becomes popular, and then they act like they forgot what they said before,

I liked REM before they lost their religion. I liked the Avengers when Emma Peel meant Diana Rigg, not Uma Thurman. I liked Iron Chef when it was an import. I liked the Cranberries before Zombie. I still like them, but I HATED that particular song for a long time. Do Rush fans feel about Tom Sawyer the way I feel about Dreams? I liked the world poker tour its first couple seasons, but stopped when there was just too much poker to follow it all. P.S. Some people are missing that 'I liked before' implies 'didn't like after', that you stopped liking something when it became cool/mainstream.

Back when the best songs were just 3 minutes of wobble. And we liked it.* + Show Spoiler + yes I know dubstep has been around for alot longer than that, but there's no denying that outside of the UK, there were maybe 1k people maximum that would have heard of it stop thinking that outside of the uk = usa and if you really think that it was only skream / benga era in 06/07 , then stop. besides, music knows no borders nor eras, theres only development and hopefully because of the genre going mainstream tad , it will bring more attention to other styles within dubstep. and yes, I do consider myself as an elitist when it comes to 140tempo music.
