I´m 30 for a few months now, and in January I was even asked to show my ID when i wanted to buy cigarettes... although the woman at the counter did seem quite short sighted  . Grey hair (or even worse, no hair, I´ve seen THAT one with twentysomethings too) is not mandatory, you can get away with getting older, but maintain a stupid humor and (in my case) still lookyoung (and extremly handsome, of course ! )The biggest "problem" I have is finding music that does not bore me, as I always listened to a lot of music and a lot of stuff really just screams "huh... didn´t like that too much 10 years ago, isn´t better now" or "band xxx did this better when I was younger, but its okay I guess". | ||

Here's my rant: The internett, started playing games on the first black and white brown box thingy with just black and white lines, then these tape recorder thingys, then commodore, then Amiga, then Atari, then 8bit, then Sega then 16 bit then games on the computer. Started playing Diablo 1 when it first released loved that shit waaay before it was cool. My first English book was a fantazy one about the character Drizzt. Also predicted they would make LOTR when I read it, since it's so "sheep/masses" likable, and already then was annoyed they wouldn't make out of one of the much better books. Was also Athetist when it was really awesome, everyone expected me to get babtised, everyone in my school got it, and I refused, got thrown out of "chrstian" class, nearly flunked school because I refused to belive in it, and lost quite a bit of respect from some of my relatives. I loved starcraft before that was cool as well, maybe because it resonated so well to me when I was young, just felt so good at it, and it felt natural, didnt practice or have to work for it. I also started following reading on Teamliquid when the page was made, but never made account because I get so addicted to things like writing posts etc. I also really wanted to join Liquid guild 10 - 12 years back, when I felt like I was easily good enough to join it, think this was start of Starcraft, played very high on some Cloud ladder, and I remember beating Testie when he was "unbeatable" (turned out he was using maphack) and my style was very basic but maphack won't help much, Made gate 9, send out first zealot, and I try to keep aggressive till I win or die was my approach lol. I digress lol, anyway, my best mate in sc, Heat, a very good Norwegian and my practice partner had a beef and went nuts when I talked bout "omg, let's try join liquid" going on how much better he was than them refusing to try. (Boy do I regret not listening to my intuition not going for that lol). Stopped playing games around SC relase, it kinda put a new standard for games and nothing really matched it, still don't lol, kinda sick, so stuck to that game for 5 years or so. I also dwabbled into WoW, I don't think anyone here think it's cool since it's inferior to SC, but if you've felt and seen the magic I've felt and seen with WoW, im sure some of you would change your mind. I loved the state of that game the first 3 years, it was beautiful, and it felt really balanced in my eyes, when it comes to dueling, that's 1 vs 1. Since I've always been a big of a fan as you can be of SC, I appreciated the details, the 1 vs 1 aspect of things, and WoW was no different. I didn't care much for accomplishing things with a big group, well, I did do it, and it felt nice and all, but that was just like having a wank, a little good, and you do it for a rise here and there, but that's not what you're pursuing. I wanted to have as strong a character as possible, I wanted to be unbeatable, I wanted to be strongest. (Same as probably every competitive sc/pro gamer feels when they play a game I guess lol). And I set out to do that in WoW, I wrote down all the spells of all classes on a chart, Id look at it for hours, id study it, I'd track down and hunt down the strongest players in Europe, id bug them, Id transfer to their realm, I'd fight them till I could beat em. I did get that tittle Rank 14 on 2 characters as well, 2 "dueling characters" Rogue and Mage. So to wrap up this story before I make it way to long, I was all analytic, and into WoW before there was any reward for it, I thought it was cool way before Arena was every planned or thought of, I was doing that "when it was cool". Oh oh, remebering more things. I played Magic the Gathering way before it was cool, now I don't even think it's seen as cool, but it was then, i'm sure lol. It was when they sold 3rd edition in the stores I played. I think that's around 18 years ago or so. Started hustling cards, and was all into the trading buisniss. (trading cards that is) I live far up north, so there's a lot of winter here, almost everyone goes skiing in winter, so when I was a kid, I decided to get a Snowboard, I felt that was much cooler, but back then it was like going with 1 skii, and not seen as cool at all, but now the "Snowboarders" are seen as the "cool kids" with their hip clothes, tan, white teeths and carefree attitude lol. (Hmm, now i've sat for nearly 10 minuts just pondering, trying to think of if i've been cool anywhere else... Feel pretty stuck now lol). Oh oh, I just rememberd a few things. The kinda of things you see at "Things that make you ROFL" threads, the "elaborate" games people play on others, the pranks. I did that way before it was cool. I also did "jackass" things way before jackass, but not malicious or hurtful "jackass" stuff, a little more subtle and uhm, deviant. Ohhh do let me explain lol. My humour is of a rare kind, I love it as long as I love it, I suddenly lose track of time and I care little or nothing if others find it fun/cool nor do I share it with people, or want to brag much about it. (Sometimes I do rarely, here and there when I seek attention or recognition in a social gathering, but most of the time I keep it to myself). Let me write a story about a "true story" from my Starcraft times, this is probably 8 + + years ago, not really sure. But when it happened doesn't matter too much, just that there wasn't really any Youtube or anything like that. There was this King of the hill tournaments going on (pretty sure it was that). And Gosugamers was broadcasting it via radio cast (That's how they did it before in SC). So you'd have 2 commentators sitting there talking about what the gamres are doing. And the games were between Draco and Testie, and I really felt like I wanted to take part, or do something, and I started thinking "How can I get into those games". So I schemed up a plan, I got hold of the names of the people organizing the event, and 20 minutes before the games I contacted one of them, and I told him I was a friend of Draco, and that he might come 5 - 10 minuts late due to some obstacles. Then I contacted one of the other commentators told him I was a friend of Testie, and that we earlier in the day had gone for some Burrrritos, and he was having a rough time at the bathroom, so he might be a few minuts late as well. When Draco came on, I msged him and told him I was one of the organizer guys, and we might be running 5- 10 minutes late, and I'm not sure what I told Testie, cos id usually just troll or say something silly lol (I remember once I got my mate SaFT to play my account and school him so he was all confused wether I was godlike in sc, or not, so he hadn't figured me out lol). Anyway, then when the games were to start. I got the organizers to use me as middle man, cos they thought I was talking on behalf of the gamers, so I got to tell them the secret password to join and stuff, so that was awesome. So when the event started, it was the 2 players and the 2 commentators and me!!!! Oh my how much fun I can have on my own lol (one of my best abilities lol), and the games started. As the game started, I sit there, and I get to talk in Allied chat to the commentators, and for the entire show, I'm just sitting there answering their questions, adding in "small white lies" as I go along, and as I "prod and feel" i'm expanding on my stories, making them white lies bigger and bigger, just to see what I can get away from. So they're asking me how Testie Prepared for these games, and I get to reply!! Told them he always hated Draco, with a passion, because Draco stole his e-gf. And the commentators having a blast, talking about what im saying in chat. When they started talking bout what kind of practice, and vs which opponents, I added in that Testie gotten a poster of Draco in his room the past 2 weeks, so it's the first thing he thinks about before bed and when he wakes up. Pretty small harmless lies, but that's the kind of stuff I loved doing, so to sum up this story (Even though I could have elaborated and made it go on and on lol). I was doing the ROFFL, thingy way before it was "cool" The Ninja guy pretending to roleplay on sex sites, the first time I read it, I freaked out, cos I was 100% sure someone just took my shit and copied it lol. Ok, that's enough for now, remembering hundreds and hundreds of stories now. Not had this much fun "feeling allowed" to write and brag about stuff and it's accepted and allowed, wuhu xD TL;DR I just rant and go on about random stuff, you didn't miss much =] | ||
