this would make a really cool wall paper... like an interactive one

Thats pretty awesome...
Its been such a long time since ive been in a place dark enough to see the milky way.
...sigh...

That was just pure amazing. Both the OP's slideshow and then the video from Spain. I want to book flights to Spain now. ^^

i wish i could live somewhere with a dark sky rating of . : (

Wow, this is absolutely gorgeous, kudos to this guy for taking all those photos and making this. Reminds me of the couple times I've camped in places with minimal light pollution and got to just lay down and watch the night sky for hours. Beautiful

I have trouble taking hour long exposures on my telescope, let alone traveling 96500km taking pics everywhere. This man is a hero!

Feel like the Space core from portal 2 right now... Beautiful

Thank you, thank you so much for showing this!
It is definitely the most powerful photographic video i've ever seen!

Wow, what an amazing image. Quite a lot of dedication out of that man to do this and sharing it with the world. It really is beautiful to see the night sky so fully.
|
awesome awesome AWESOME
seriously psyched to explore this further. The interactivity is a huge plus, also.

it really is that obvious, the middle of our sky is a band of milky stars (the work galaxy comes from the greek "Galacos" meaning milk).... if it weren't for all the street lights, you would see it yourself every night. Especially near the equator or in the southern hemisphere.
