Keep it civil guys.
Alright I am sick of warning people: Trolling, flame baiting, and derailing will result in insta bans. The same goes for conspiracy theorists and stupidity generally.
Confirmation was as follows - On-site DNA test which came back as 99% positive. - photos of face sent to CIA and confirmed with photo analysis - confirmed by 20 year old wife who live in pakistan.
This thread is specifically dedicated to the details surrounding the raid/his death. |

Average american is retardly stupid. It's like trying to play Mafia with a bunch of stupid towns people in SC2. Just because Osama died under Obama's watch means Obama = reason he died. This will definitely help his re-election. Not all the country hates him. Mostly just the right-wing nutjobs, same people who think he was born in Kenya and that 9/11 was an inside job.

Seriously no offense and this is probably stretching it a bit with the rules. Im just noticing a pattern that many (im not saying all) people that aren't from the US bring up alot of conspiracy and doubt arguements. I can pull out 4 i have responded to since this thread started.
Its really a American thing I guess it is significant. Again if this was something that happened in your nation try to imagine how your country would act. Pretty much every nation has had something horrible happen to it. Go back read how people felt once a widely accepted justice was reached.

the question that pops in my mind now is how much effect it will have at the current situation?

Be real, man. He deserved to be dead and that's exactly what we've now made him. No, I think he has a good point. The effect of a martyr can become more powerful than the life of that person.

In times of great change, CNN brings you what tourists think.
I fucking hate CNN.
I think people are forgetting how terrorist cells work. It's a nice cherry on top but the decline of global religious terrorism has been taking place for over a year. There might be a brief blowback but honestly, most of the grievances are already being addressed. Africa can be the next staging ground.

These are more questions on what you guys who have a much better understanding of how the US government works. It's symbolic. Killing Bin Laden unifies the West (and most of the world) and demoralizes Islamist radicals. It also helps lessen the impact of the 9/11 attacks on the world.
In a way, it's insignificant just as much as the WTC attacks were. The towers weren't key to the American infrastructure. They weren't even a 100th of 1 percent of the economy in NYC. But they carried symbolic value.

On May 02 2011 12:03 New Zealander wrote:Show nested quote +Osama bin Laden, hunted as the mastermind behind the worst-ever terrorist attack on U.S. soil, has been killed, sources told ABC News.
His death brings to an end a tumultuous life that saw bin Laden go from being the carefree son of a Saudi billionaire, to terrorist leader and the most wanted man in the world.
Bin Laden created and funded the al Qaeda terror network, which was responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. The Saudi exile had been a man on the run since the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan overthrew the ruling Taliban regime, which harbored bin Laden.
In a video filmed two months after the Sept. 11 attacks, bin Laden gloated about the attack, saying it had exceeded even his "optimistic" calculations.
"Our terrorism is against America. Our terrorism is a blessed terrorism to prevent the unjust person from committing injustice and to stop American support for Israel, which kills our sons," he said in the video.
Long before the Sept. 11 attacks, bin Laden was known as an enemy of the United States. He was suspected of playing large roles in the 1998 bombings of two U.S. Embassies in Africa and the attack on the USS Cole in the Yemeni port of Aden in October 2000.
In addition, authorities say bin Laden and his al Qaeda network were involved in previous attacks against U.S. interests -- including the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, failed plots to kill President Clinton and the pope, and attacks on U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia and Somalia.
Bin Laden also used his millions to bankroll terrorist training camps in Sudan, the Philippines and Afghanistan, sending "holy warriors" to foment revolution and fight with fundamentalist Muslim forces across North Africa, in Chechnya, Tajikistan and Bosnia.
Until the capture of one of his top al Qaeda lieutenants in March 2003, there had been no confirmation of his whereabouts -- or even that he was still alive -- since late 2001, when he appeared in a series of videotapes later released to news organizations.
In recent years, several audio recordings of bin Laden have been authenticated by U.S. officials and made public. In an 18-minute videotape weeks before the 2004 U.S. presidential election, bin Laden threatened fresh attacks on the United States as well as his intent to push America into bankruptcy. http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/osama-bin-laden-killed/story?id=13505703
Fucking awesome that they've had that story ready to go all along.
