Well how about this for an answer, don't tell them anything. Look how shitty the human race is. Would you really want to recreate it?

Therefore this is honestly the dumbest question I've ever read. In my humble opinion, I honestly think this is just some bullshit created by some guy who wanted to make his field of expertise seem more important than everything else on the planet. Well how about this for an answer, don't tell them anything. Look how shitty the human race is. Would you really want to recreate it? Dude....it's richard feynman you are talking about, and when you think about it,physics IS one of the,if not, most important field in science. After all,the laws of physics govern the universe in the grand scheme, not biology or anything.

Not saying anything will probably result in the human race being the same all over again. Instead you should write something that helps them become something that you think is "better". Personally I don't think you can say that the human race is "shit" but you can't say it isn't either, we don't know any other alien civilizations so we lack a frame of reference. Sure there's poverty, crime and war but it could be ALOT worse.

For any lifeform, understanding of biology and thus means to ensure their own survival is the most important. To be able to calculate how old the light from one of the stars on the sky is going to save a lot less lives compared to being able to cure diseases.

"LOL YOU GUYS ARE FUCKED" If it's on-topic then it would be the Germ Theory. That single theory is responsible for about 75% of the lives saved in the modern era. After we learned about germ theory, then infectious disease deaths plummeted even before the invention of antibiotics.

What he means is if you understand physics, you can understand chemistry which means you can understand biology, but if you only understand biology you cannot understand physics. And understanding biology is not required for a species to survive, just as you don't have to understand gravity to stay put on the earth.
