Why not just go to your standard department store and pick up something that looks nice but is affordable. If you have a bit more money, venture into the clothing specialized stores and pick up something there.

unless you're willing to spend fairly much then your biggest concern should be matching and wearing clothes that fit you, imo.

You'd be amazed at what cool vintage crap you can find at the local Salvation Army. Old rockabilly and 70's advertising tee-shirts. If you didn't hear it, Grandpa's vintage plaid slacks are the in thing to wear these days. That is, if you wanna be "cool." Otherwise, just wear paper-bags as tee-shirts. I always like picking on those kids more than the cool kids, anyway.

Seriously, do online T-shirts have to be so expensive? I'd pay for $20 for a nice T-shirt but not for a plain, typical quality black/white T-shirt with a few words printed on it.

Novelty shirts are something that get lame really really quickly. They might be funny the first time you wear it or see somebody wearing it, but after the first time it really loses any sort of prestige it could have conveyed. Now because he labeled his topic "Cool Clothes", I felt I had the right to state that novelty shirts are generally accepted as not being "cool" things to wear in the places around where I live or have lived. Granted, I've grown up in a fairly wealthy area and I constantly see people dressing up quite nicely on a regular basis.
