Just got back from the cinema. It was a very good film, certainly better than the vast majority of films that come out of Hollywood, especially comic book films. Not as good as the first two IMO, but a satisfying end to the series and there's real potential if they ever want to go back - more than a few things left open enough.
The only thing I wish they had done was change the passage of time thing - I'd have preferred it to have been more during the Bane-Batman thing - closer to the comic books, maybe, where Bane really does break the Bat and he has to come back from that. It was too....easy for them to have this a test of the spirit, and oh, by the way, you can completely heal and get stronger from the beatdown of your life in a few months.
Anyone notice Bale's Batman has quite the killcount? There's a few people in this one he killed either directly or indirectly - Talia and her driver were killed by him firing at the car. And I feel like he's killed others in the other films - does he discount the ninjas in the League of Shadows? And by his own admission he leaves Ra's to die.

+ Show Spoiler +Would the nuclear explosion have destroyed the bat flying vehicle? How did Fox examine if there was an auto-pilot installed if it would have been destroyed?

There was more than one. Wayne designed an update to the autopilot and loaded it into all of the Bats they had.

Just came back from watching the movie. Damn was it good. Considering seeing it a second time. I am amazed by Nolan's work.

Anyone know what was supposed to be relation between the catwoman and that other girl she kept protecting? (they hang out around during the first part of the movie, and suddenly she disappears)

Went to see it about an hour away from the shooting, theater was almost empty. Was that just a Colorado thing, or were other theaters empty as well?

Also
+ Show Spoiler +It was pretty fucking clear that this entire movie was initially based around the Joker. Bane having his "revolution" but blowing up the city makes no fucking sense. It would have made FAR more sense for the Joker to do. A shame really.

That doesn't make any sense, Joker just wants to have "fun" and push batman to his furthest limit. Bane is an intelligent person who is also working with Talia Al Ghul to fulfill her Father's dreams of destroying Gotham, Joker wants control not annihilation.

Joker wanted to break and corrupt the Batman, he didnt want control he wanted chaos. Bane also tried to break the spirit of batman, but it wasnt very convincing in the movie. The reasons for Talia wanting Gotham destroyed was kind of weak though.

Oh and I can't be the only one who wants to go back and play Arkham City...again.
and ^
The plot was obviously not centered around Bane initially. They played it out well enough, but it was clearly a Joker movie from the beginning and they had to work with what they had. I'm glad we got to see Bane though, I fucking loved it.

I'd say this is probably my favorite superhero movie to be released. Great acting, Catwoman was increadbily hot, the scale of the movie was quite epic, and the ending was really fulfilling. 9/10 I'd say.

I just didn't really like the ending, not to say it was bad and I'm not even sure what it is but I feel it could've better.

Just came back from theatres and all I gotta say is that it's the best superhero movie i've ever watched.

Pretty good movie, but it doesn't really approach The Dark Knight.
Also why couldn't they have just + Show Spoiler +
|
I am HIGHLY disappointed by this movie. It does not compare to dark knight or begins at all.
All the things I absolutely hated Bane: his voice was laughably bad. The characters in this movie were terrible, besides alfred, batman, catwoman and Gordon everyone was just ...filler or random The movie was too long Bane is supposed to beat people up, not take over a city with wit and intellect... + Show Spoiler + the end where batman dies and then comes back just, felt like I was trolled... Movie would have been better if he died and lives on as a symbol
Hans zimmer carried this movie from crap to average, he totally saved this movie. Anne Hathaway was amazing. I really think Heath Ledger's death fucked up the direction they were going to take it. 7/10, dissappointed...
edit: one more thing, character development takes a backseat to action and explosions
