Same as the other two films by Nolan - ridiculously unbelievable plot devices that take away any thrill or suspense. In the first movie it was some giant train that was going to destroy Gotham City with some sort of gas. In the second movie it's some crappy GPS device in Batman's cape that is apparently "too powerful to be safe". In this movie it's some bullshit plane hijacking by using another plane and cutting the first plane in half. It's like the director thought up these ideas while masturbating and thinks he's got 'originality'. If you're getting hung up on this stuff why are you watching anything that is based off of comics? Pretty par-for-the-course and tbh those films weren't the biggest offenders when it comes to destroying the audience's willing suspension of disbelief.

I hope they don't go with the idea of... + Show Spoiler + Batman dies and Levitt's character becomes the new Batman. Not only is he the new Batman, but the civilians rise as well with the idea of there is a Batman in all of us...

Lindy Hemming, who created Bane's look, spoke about the character's mask. "[Bane] was injured early in his story," she explained. "He's suffering from pain and he needs gas to survive. He cannot survive the pain without the mask. The pipes from the mask go back along his jawline and feed into the thing at the back where there are two canisters of what ever it is.. the anesthetic." I mean, I really like the idea of Bane because he is physically and mentally intimidating. The idea he "cannot survive the pain" is pathetic for a monster like Bane. It should be something more like Phencyclidine effects. Gives Bane the ability to push through normal pain, etc. Who knows what the "gas" could be, but the idea Bane needs his medicine or he'll die detracts from the character.

If you don't like the fluff they put out in interviews, unless they make it clear in the film then who cares? Just imagine that it is because of your own idea, and the movie will be just as awesome.

You're fine with a billionaire that spends his fortune on high-tech crime fighting gear instead of solving world hunger, but you think if he's part of the inner party from 1984, that's only "apparently" too powerful? It's fucking Batman, dude. Would you rather watch him doing more realistic stuff like saving kittens from trees and dealing with domestic disputes? Anyway, I thought the trailer looked fucking awesome. Can't wait.

If by "fluff" you mean backstory to the design concept of the character then yea, maybe they could choose their words more carefully or keep it even more vague? The first two lines in the interview aren't needed at all to explain the mask or the design. Those lines are there because that is what the costume designer based the design off and as I said I think it takes away from the character of Bane. I'm still excited for the movie and I'll enjoy it thoroughly I'm sure! The source material for the plot is pretty good + Show Spoiler + I really liked Knightfall and No Man's Land. I hope they also include some of the War Drums/War Games storylines as well.
