It's a Sea-Gull M170S.

I've been looking at them for over fifteen minutes now, like them a lot! I've been eyeing that for a while. Still a long ways of saving to go. I have a blue face PRC200 chrono with a steel band. They look 1000x better in person. Phenomenal watch. Good luck getting yours!.

Just like fur became extinct when cotton clothing was invented? Or how mp3 players/ipods became extinct when cell phones could playback mp3s. Or how digital cameras became extinct when they fitted a piece of s**t with a lens on a cell phone? Please. Just because something can serve more purposes, doesn't mean it does it well. Plus, I love my watches a fkton more than I do my cellphones. I lose/break a cell phone every year and I don't even think twice about it when it happens. If I broke one of my watches I'd be sad. It's about soul and style my friend. You'll understand when you're 80 and people will still be wearing watches. Well, fur is pretty much extinct around here (I see it skiing sometimes, though it's really rare - synthetic layers work fine). And mp3 players/ipods seem "mostly" extinct except for the itty bitty nanos that you might want for exercising with where a phone would be too bulky to be practical. Digital cameras aren't extinct because cell phones have terrible cameras, but even so, you definitely see way, way fewer cameras than you used to (go to some touristy landmark - sure, there are cameras around, but some very large percentage of people will be clicking away with their phones instead). In the same way, watches are basically going extinct. They perform 2 functions: telling time, and being a fashion accessory. They tell time worse than a phone does, since a phone is continually synced, any everybody carries a phone anyway, so really it's just a fashion accessory. That being said, I do own a watch - the cheapest waterproof watch I could find, for telling the time when I'm on the water kitesurfing. :D But I think it's just like mp3-players/iPod. Only really necessary when the larger form factor or fragility is a problem. For sure, they won't go "really extinct", because some people like the way they feel or look, but they are no longer necessary - just a way to look snappy like cufflinks or whatever. Sport watches will live in the way that iPods live as a smaller, lighter alternative when you don't want to carry your phone.
Why retarded people keep posting this kind of non sense...?
A watch is NOT a "thing that give the time just like my iPhone". A watch is one of the only type of jewelry available to men. Watches are about style, beauty of the conception, awesome engineering.
Stop trying to act like a narrow minded "oh it does the same thing therefore it is the same thing", this is ridiculous. For your information, each year more and more people get interested by watches, it is no way near becoming extinct...

Yeah I have a nice watch that I wear for special occasions when I dress formally.
But it isn't like men don't have a veritable medley of jewelry seeing how men wear watches, rings, earrings, and necklaces nowadays. Hell some people wear bracelets/wrist bands or if you are a rapper you wear jewelry on your teeth.

I have never saw a man wearing necklaces and earring, and not appearing vulgar/cheap/ridiculous, but that is probably just me.
Just looking at watches through a strictly utilitarian point of view is absolutely retarded, a watch is NOT about just giving the time, it is much more than that. Like cars for instance, a car is much more than a "thing to get you from point A to point B".

I've been looking at them for over fifteen minutes now, like them a lot!
Just friendly advice, because bottom line is that you should get what you like and feel comfortable with the most. But in terms of style, black suit/tie watches should have the following characteristics:
1. Leather strap. No exception. It can be brown on black, but leather is considered a must for the formal watch. I have a black-dlc bracelet on my steinhart as well, but it can't be considered formal. Only semi-formal at best (meaning it goes ok with a long-sleeve business shirt or something). 2. Slim. It needs to be very slim so it can slip under the sleeve of the shirt, and only show half of itself or less when you're not actually looking at it. You know what i mean. This kinda rules out the Tissot PRC200 as it's a really thick watch. Not a bad watch, I like it a lot as well, but it doesn't really go with a suit unless you manage to cover like 80% of it with the shirt. Otherwise it will stick out and won't look very stylish. 3. Clean and simple. This means no chronograph, no fancy hands, no decorated bezel, nothing. It should be as clean as possible, even the day/date window is frowned upon by some people. 4. Gold/Silver. Black is not a standard formal color for watches, but this will be ignored by some people, and understandably so, since not everyone likes gold or silver.
There are other aspects to consider as well, but none as important as these (unless I'm forgetting something). Here's a list of dress watches as an example, in order of price, more or less.
a. Citizen Stiletto: http://img.giftstoindia24x7.com/ASP_Img/GTI1826.jpg It comes in a multitude of colors, styles, and straps (even metal), but this is a good example of what I meant. It's extremely slick and simple, and not too expensive either. They even come in the "square" variation, if you're into that sort of thing. variations: http://www.newlookwatches.com/re_image.php?img=pimages/1159_IMG1.jpg (more manly) http://www.citizen-watch.co.uk/pimages/ar3015-53e.jpg (black sheep of the family)
b. Sinn 1746 klassic: http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z108/scm64/sinn1746front_1133_detail.jpg This is just a stunning watch. It will cost about 4-5 times what a citizen will, but it's from a renowned brand with excellent movement and finishing. You can find a lot of models in this price range, but this is definitely one of my favorites.
c. Philippe DuFour Simplicity: http://dufourwatches.free.fr/simp1.jpg Just in case you're a closet-millionaire, this is probably my favorite dress watch ever. If not overall. Sure it will take about 2 years to be made and will cost about 40k euros, but as far as watches go, it won't get much better than this. Patek Philippe also has an ultra-thin, super-formal series of watches, if you've got thousands to spare.
Edit: or you could just use your phone! And while you're at it, don't wear a suit, wear PJs and crocks. Because those do the job just as well.

I have thin wrists and the bracelet looked too showy. Thankfully the excellent jewelers I got it from gave me the alligator leather strap and clasp free to I have both options if I ever change my mind. I love it and I wouldn't change a single detail. So many Speedmaster owners :O I have this one shipping my way. + Show Spoiler + I can't stand cluttered watches like these two. I want something like a Rolex Explorer I but can't find anything affordable that looks anywhere near as nice.
