It seemed like a bunch of marketing hype for a set of cheap headphones but then I saw the price tag of $200+. O.o Why would someone pay so much for this brand when they can get a set of respectable Seinheisers instead?

Def recommend them to anyone that listens to a lot of music as well as for gaming. Got them for 180 off Amazon. Ive been using a pair since february and I love mine also. The only problem I have is the leather cracking along with one of the plastic pieces connecting the headphones to the headband, but they're under warranty so I think I can get them repaired/replaced fairly easily. They sound amazing, but I havent been able to try them with an amp yet which I hear helps a ton.

A DAC is a digital to analog converter, pretty much takes the information from your portable device and converts it into analog signal. The FiiO E7 ($88 on Amazon right now) goes sometimes on sale and can be attained for around $50 (Amp/Dac) Theres Fiio E6 (amp only) for around 20-30 and you can buy LOD (line out cable) if you use a iPod/iPhone for 5-10. There's Pocket Amp 2 - Version 2 (PA2V2) Canadian made nice little amp, awesome value, the guy makes them himself. (around 50)

I hate you so much, I just recently upgraded from AD700 to AD900 because a friend wanted my old AD700.

That said I've been using Re0's and RE 1's from head-direct for years and my re 0's recently lost sound to one side so I've decided to get some denon 1100's. Get them on monday, can't wait. I just wish there was a way to take my 701's everywhere I go

Also, I picked up a Fiio E10 to power my Beyer DT770-80 from my PC, looking forward to it. The Beyers sound better on my Zune30 (unamped) than on my PC, so this should work out well.
