This translates into putting a lot of time into work (which is interesting to me), reading wiki/news/literature religiously, attending random events (like lectures, festivals, etc), and meeting new people of diverse backgrounds.

i think the less hobies you have the better because the more time u have to spend on something that can generate you money..... that;s what life is about.
my hobbies:
soccer
reading, this goes with school i guess, i like going to school. i think it as a hobby
starcraft2( havent played for 2 weeks, trying to quit )

drawing, writing, chess, listening to 70's jpop music (Pink Lady, Momoe Yamaguchi, Candies), casual programing with a language called liberty basic (think visual basic but more dumbed down).

I used to be a workout freak but kinda slowed down.

Top computer games I'm currently playing are SC2, Minecraft and Civ4 (can't wait for Civ5 in a month).

Currently I have this weird hobby where I design 1 player boardgames with excel.

I play golf everyday, there isn't a sport I enjoy nearly as much.

Apart from golf, I don't do much but play video games. Especially since I just moved to Seattle and school hasn't started so I don't know anyone.
