It's likely that there was a "UFO" (aka, unexpected plane or something like that), and then people made up some pictures. agreed. this is the most probable situation.

The video looks like something breaking the sound barrier in a pretty big way... definitely a UFO... but aliens? meh. It looks nothing like the pictures, btw. The pictures look something like the business end of a scanner (computer scanner) being pasted onto photographs. If it did float static above urban areas, you'd think there'd be more detailed video. I mean, cellphones can record video now.

To all of you who said it wasn't real and didn't happen. I hope you feel REALLY stupid.
I dug a bit more, and found the Chinese government apparently said this had military connections.
So sorry, it did exist.
An Unidentified Flying Object (UFO), which disrupted air traffic in a Chinese city has a "military connection", a Chinese official has said.
The authorities have learnt what the UFO was after investigations, but it was not "proper time to publicly disclose" the information because there was a "military connection" to it, state run 'China Daily' quoted an official as saying.
The UFO has disrupted air traffic over Hangzhou, capital of China's Zhejiang's Province on Wednesday.
Xiaoshan Airport was closed after the UFO was detected at around 9 pm, and some flights were re-routed to airports in the cities of Ningbo and Wuxi, said a spokesman of the airport.

The video is from stupidvideos.com and there's no link to an actual news article? That isn't helping plausibility for me.

When you keep saying that, oh these pictures can't be real because that sort of lighting can't happen, what world, oops I mean universe are you in? We are not even close to our full potential, whereas these beings may have had this technology millenia ago. The reason aliens seem so interesting is that they could be so much more advanced than us. We are looking for even tiniest bit of 'primitive life' so that we can agree that there is certainly life out there, and life that has been developing longer than our meagre human existence.
We cannot possibly fathom how different life can be, because we can only use our own narrow scope of science to guess. We are always looking for the Carbon-based lifeforms because we only have experience with this kind, and say, looking for a Mercury-based lifeform seems impossible due to our existence. Our technology is only within this narrow scope of what we can do with science and our resources, whereas aliens could have access to a whole range of items we cannot even begin to imagine.
That looks like an out of position lamp to be honest, but the different angles it has been shot at, and the airport closing makes it very suspicious. I'm sure more will turn up within the next few days or so. And I'm sure Obama will want to make a personal investigation, if this even gets that far. Probably a military experiment that America will want their hands on too.

There is a tether (very very long, I can't remember how long but think 1km+)
objects move behind it, the tether covers them up so they definitely move behind it the objects are also huge

2010 and pictures of mysterious things are still taken with piece of shit cameras. C'mon guys...

Through reading some of these comments, I feel as if the majority of people didn't watch the video. They just watched the slideshow................ lol.

Ooooh, thanks for the explanation. I love these things even though I might be skeptical of them. A part of me wants it to be true though.

Lol, it just looked like film from a microscope or possible some underwater film with light reflecting of some particles.

It looks like dust to me. Dust illuminated by sunlight that're just translucent enough that when they pass in front of the bright-white tether, they seem to pass behind it.

I got some nice pics of it too!!!
It's probably the Chinese doing some secret aircraft testings...

In the tether video, listen from 3:51. The "UFOs" are described as debris with light from the sun coming at low angles mixed with camera glare.

It's possible, but highly arguable. This is why I prefer the 2nd video. I'd like to hear an argument about that one.

uh, that's just your opinion. there is an awful lot of stuff moving around in the video.
anyways this is hardly the only nasa ufo footage out there. there's plenty that is just straight up weird. I don't presume to know what goes on in all the videos and I have no problem with rational explanations but I am not interested in solidifying views unless something is proven one way or the other.

While I agree its subjective, it also looks pretty clear to me its just dust being lit up by the sun. The nasa guy said it was just coming in view of the sun, and everything was moving around in haphazard fashion.
The 2nd video is certainly more convincing. I've seen if before, and while perspective can be a bitch in space, its seems pretty hard to believe that it didn't rapidly change direction.

No, actually it is the opinion of one of the astronauts? filming it. But anyway, could you please point me to some material arguing for the case of the objects being UFOs? I'm interested how this video could be taken to be UFOs.
*Saw edit, nevermind then. I would like to know the source on the second video though, because this footage is a bit more interesting.
