Does anyone still have this VOD? The audience was gasping and applauding when he did this...it was amazing...but I can't find the news of it anywhere. | ||

Along similar lines, Boxer once had his scouting scv block off a madly-chasing zealot with a partially built supply. The scv was in danger of being chased down when it suddenly starts on a supply to block off the access point behind the min patch. When the zealot starts going all the way around the other side, the supply gets cancelled and the scv makes its escape through the same route. Drew oohs and aahs from the crowd. Happened in the SKY 2001 finals v Garimto (all the more amazing he pulls cute stuff like this when the stakes are so high). Also, someone from Blizzard was in the audience (Bill Roper?) and I was told he just smiled and shook his head in awe when Boxer did this. A couple more candidates off the top of my head: - Boxer's trademark one-marine lurker hunt where he micros the marine away from the lurker's spikes and briefly fires then evades again and repeats this until the lurker's dead. Boxer's done this several times in official tournaments in the past, most recently (or so I hear) in the 2002 WCG Korea prelims. Just unbelievable. - I forget what the tournament/event was, but there is a famous game between IntoTheRain and Boxer (in 2001) where Rain jumps to mass carriers and starts razing everything in sight - only to have Boxer make the comeback of the century with almost nothing left by optic flaring the obs and hunting down the carriers with cloaked wraiths. Poor Rain could do nothing but watch. Believe Boxer did it again after that v Grrr in Gembc Race Masters series. Next to these, taking down burrowed lurkers with splash damage (siege tanks, archons...) doesn't sound like such a big deal anymore - tho it was when I first watched it being done. | ||

that sounds amazing. i cant find the vod anywhere and i dont suppose anybody saved it of the sky ogn 2001. maybe i can "reenact" it? =( also for the optic flare one...i have one of boxer vs didi in a wcg 2002 warmup game where he does that. unfortunately didi has way too many carriers for boxer to finish them off in time, but i guess it's the same strat and since the vod doesnt exist anymore that will have to do -_- | ||
