yeah there's also fake ads but that are obviously aimed at real products, for example you could have Nikey with a backwards swoosh logo or whatever. Actually I'm not sure what the reasoning for those types of ads is.. maybe they were too lazy to work out proper royalty costs and just said "hey give us X million, we'll make something that gamers will connect to your company even tho it's not really yours"? maybe someone could enlighten me why those exist :s

Done. There was quite a few bad questions though in my opinion, but if they serve your purpose it's all good

I'm pretty neutral toward advertisements in games, as long as they don't become commercial breaks.

Done! Also, cheque is in the mail.

Done. This reminded me of when I was appreciating how cool some of the environments in The Matrix: Path of Neo looked, until i was turned off by seeing an nVidea ad.

I read the thread title as "Help me rape my sister" I clicked it right away

I don't really mind advertisements in games and if advertisements in games lead to cheaper prices of the games i'm all for that! lol @ eSPORTS dollars ^^

Also about this one:
I generally prefer games that do not have advertisements or product placements in them to those that do.
Where exactly are those advertisements meant to be? In terms of SC
I have nothing against iCCup banner here but at the same time no idea where it can be beside top of chatroom

Well, the McDonalds sign has become so universally understood nowadays that as long as we see something that looks like a M on that circle near a building that kind of resembles a fast food restaurant, the reflex says that "Hey, that's a McD!". Association is a powerful thing that helps you in the long run.

I'm fine with advertisements as long as they don't take away from gameplay. If the signs in a racing game were real corporate logos / advertisements I really wouldn't care at all. As long as there isn't like a coke or car billboard in a medieval RPG that straight up ruins the game atmosphere then it wouldn't be bothersome.

Done. Good luck!
I don't like advertising at all (excluding ingame fluff stuff). A banner like the B.net banner is fine, but that's as far as I would go.

It's only a $20 raffle D: Not like it matter. Done.

Did the survey and I also would be very excite about seeing this happen. Advertising doesn't bother me at all if it's just a part of the natural environment in the game. If it gets those starving game developers some more cash, I am ALL for it.
